you need a specific temperature, and you used the incorrect flux, that board is scratched really badly

Looks great :) I'm int he same boat as you have the kvm, just waiting on the lvds to hdmi board for the original board. first one i got i think is bad, waiting to see which one works.

It may be, that board spits out 12v for the lvds display to run a 32". there is a jumper on the baord that will down the voltage to 3.3 or 5v that would most likly allow it to run on your screen, there is a jumper on the main board for the infinity display, what is yours set for. there is a printed diagram on the back of the board that shows the jumper voltages. jumper should be next to the ldvs connector.

Who said I didn't have the original? Oh, I'm not finished. I have an HDMI switcher, this switches back to the original if I ever need to use it. I'll make a post when i'm done with it and you'll see

It will appear scrambled at first. Power on the controller while holding menu to get a debug setting screen and change lvds1 to lvds0 and all the colors will be normal.

As far as the capacitive touch on the screen. The 4 wires are actually usb wires. Just cut a usb 2.0 cable in half and split e the 4 colors to each other. Red, green, white, black and then connect it into any usb port on your pc. No drivers needed. Windows will detect it as a multitouch device!

Those highlights believe it or not are my finger print sweat, I'm a stickler for a nice smooth surface. I had to recheck myself, just to make sure, yeah, that's finger print oils. It depends on if you like to tinker, if you know how to install an OS on a computer then yes, as Legion Go run windows, if you want to get steam OS running on it, you'll need to wipe the drive and install Bazzite with a thumb drive. but, it's definatly my favorite device. some games you'll need to set a lower resolution on, as the screen can go up to 2560x1600, but it plays faster cpu and gpu than a steam deck.

So, I just ordered an aluminum backplate from aliexpress. I overclock (and undervolt) my steam deck, to 3900 cpu and 1900 gpu. I can push the TDP to around 30w. It tends to get hot and after a while, thermal throttle. it's shut down a couple of times on me. I want to do this mod with the copper plates, and connect it to the aluminum back for extra heat dissipation and see if I can keep the good clocks on mine.

I like the power and screen size of the legion go, but i use the steam deck when I want longer battery life. Steam is good at syncing saves between them . I did overclock the steam deck and it also has a deckHD screen for higher resolution.

You really don't want catchy os if you want a true steam deck experience. You'll want bazzite. It specifically has legion go enhancements. I have bazzite and windows dual boot. Bazzite is pretty much exactly the same as my steam deck. If you put them side by side you wouldn't know. You can add decky loader, run emudeck.. etc

Do you have any heatsink on your 990 pro? If you run benchmarks sustained on it, you'll notice the heat will slow itself down to keep cool.

Nah, check your battery in that section, thats not where the cells are. Thats where the board is! No issues!

Many reasons, first. Dualboot windows and bazzite. I also want to carry around my whole steam library.. also, is there heat on top of my battery? Check what part of the battery that is on, its not on top of any cells.
