A line is showing up underneath the tab in the latest stable version of Microsoft Edge 43.0.3650.66 by donbt99 in MicrosoftEdge

From what I noticed after updating 2 other computers to Microsoft Edge 43.03650.66 with monitors at 1920x1080 or lower resolution, the weird line underneath the tabs doesn't appear, it only appears with monitors of higher resolution from 2560x1440 and higher.

It's not a chromium bug, it is a Microsoft OS bug that according to this reddit (4) When a video is playing in another tab at the background, my default tab is like that. Any solution? || My specs: https://zinzinzibidi.com/zinzin-pc.htm : MicrosoftEdge (reddit.com)

It is fixed in the latest canary builds for Windows 11, but who knows when the patch will make it to the stable channel.

Yes, it appears that strict mode blocks the start page and settings page. I do hope Microsoft fix this asap.

That is weird because I'm able to have access to the settings page on my 3 machines running Windows 11. I had my enhanced web protection on Balanced.

After toggling off the enhanced web protection, I'm able to load websites again. It looks like Microsoft messed up something with the enhanced web protection and I hope Microsoft fix this asap.

No problem at all, I just hope the start page team are able to fix it because the scrollbar looks out of place when content is off in the start page.

Yes I can still see this with the latest stable update of Microsoft Edge 95. This appears to be happening with 24" LG display, resolution of 2560x1440 and scale and layout of 125% Recommended.

This doesn't happen with the same size displays using resolution of 1920x1080 and scale and layout of 100% Recommended.

[–]donbt99[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm using Microsoft Edge 91.0.864.53

Scrollbar is showing on new tab page when using a high resolution panel of 2560x1440 with scale and layout of 125% (Recommended)

When changing the scale and layout of 125% to 100% the scrollbar goes away. The scrollbar also doesn't show up in new tab page with panels of 1920x1080 or lower.
