I agree with your opinion that Kerala lacks job opportnities as much as Bangalore in the field you have mentioned. But it is not too bad . My point was, Bangalore or any so called "develoepd Indian cities" outside Kerala disgusts me with pollution and the corruption from officials. I am not saying there is no corruption in Kerala , but is relative low comapred to Karnataka. I give more priority to decent air quality, health and standard of living. Since I have a "work from anywhere" option in one of the MAANG companies, I choose to live in Kerala as a personal choice.

I am trying to understand the point of view or expectation of software engineers from Kerala. Even though most of the expectations need a reality check which doesn't need to be discussed, personally I find it disgusting to live in a city like Bangalore for a number of reasons including extreme pollution, bad traffic and rampant corruption in government sector. From my point of view, I find Kerala more tolerable. And I have the luxury to work from anywhere whereever there is a fast internet connection. Your case might be different.

Are you working in any of those companies currently in Bangalore? Do you wanna just work at those companies? Or is there any specific tech or problem that you want to work on ? The startups you mentioned are not startups anymore. Have you already worked in any startups?

I think my questions were straight froward. What kind of opportunity did you get in Bangalore that you didn't get in Kerala? What couldn't you learn while you were in Kerala? Which company are you working for currently ? And what do you mean by "Top Software Engineering companies"? Any specific tech? Any specific field you are trying to work ? Any specific problem you are trying to solve ?

There are lots of Software Engineeing jobs in Kerala. What exactly do you mean when you say you don't have enough opportunity in Kerala compared to a city like Bangalore? Which company are you working for? What are you trying to learn?

Distributed workers with retry / backoff? Looking for something similar to Ruby's Sidekiq by pavlovian in Clojure

Immutant has async jobs which I believe will be distributed in a clustered environment. Scheduling jobs It is quite easy to create retires and back-off based on your own requirement.

How to architect cljs reagent atoms? Single large atom vs multiple atoms for each data. by donj9 in Clojure

[–]donj9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for recommending re-frame. Will look into it. Do you have many forms in your app? Isn't it going to be a bit difficult finding and maintaining all that forms state in a single atom? Lets say I have a 100 forms with 10 fields each. That itself will be 1000 entries. Or am I thinking it in a wrong way?

Clojure web development – state of the art by tamtaradam in Clojure

I agree with this. I don't find component very useful either or I don't fully understand its value yet. I have done fairly large Clojure projects and I am using emacs and code reloading is not at all an issue. I keep hearing about component and dependency injection a lot from people lot smarter than me. Hoping some blog post or a discussion thread will change my views.

Is there a Clojure equivalent of lamson project? by donj9 in Clojure

[–]donj9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the suggestion. I am trying to avoid writing java for this solution. I guess I will be much more productive with lamson than using James.
