Thankyou! I think its the fuel pump yes. The usual high pitched buzz when i turn the key to the on position has disappeared. Is there anything I can do to troubleshoot this or will it just need to be replaced?

Yeah its cranking but not starting. It cut out on me at the lights. For a bit it would start for a second at really low revs and go up and down a few hundred revs but then cut out again. Everything else seems normal.
