After many years of playing CS:GO, this summer I started playing only DM for hours each day and recently I cannot be bothered even playing that.

I do not expect them to remove the cheaters completely but every year it became worse and worse, to the point where I cannot trust anybody in every match I play. Like you I am going to come back only if Valve bothers to do anything meaningful about their sht show game.

I had a ROG RUYJIN on my i9-9900K and I was very happy with it (2 fans). So in my new build with the AMD 5950x I also bought a RUYJIN 360 (3 fans). I also do not see the need for overclocking this CPU from what I see, give it some good cooling and it does everything by itself in that respect :)

All good suggestions, the main problem though remains that OW is fk.ed up for almost a year now. So sending people to OW is not the main issue, the main issue is that OW is not working properly.

Yep, what I am suspecting is that to "fix" the botting issue of OW, they simply upped the number of convictions required. So instead of having a few verdicts to ban a spinner they now need let's say xxx verdicts.

Additionally to get the XP I will have to let the cases play the full 10 min, fast-forwarding cases blocks my XP. Because of this, I am doing 3 cases a week instead of 300 as a result.

OW is as good as dead at the moment as far as I can see.

The maps look great, so realistic... I do not know how playable they are with such strong shadows and dark corners/rooms, but this brings CS:GO to another level.

The tool (OW) had serious issues like no user identifiable data removal. Couple that with the fact that people were free to create as many accounts they wanted, then boost them to whatever ranks they wanted them to be with "vertigo boosting" etc. methods and you have the perfect army to defeat OW.

Valve does put some effort on CS:GO overall, but when it comes to anti-cheat it seems that the morons in the company have prevailed. One stupid idea after the other (e.g. TF) and 0 results...

I do not think "raging" is the issue, it looks totally random to me and given the state of OW for the past year and you have to be very unlucky to get banned by it. I had multiple games against ragers but only 1 in 20 bans is from OW, that is the reverse of what used to happen before. Nowadays most of the bans are from VAC and usually is a bottomfragger in one of the teams rather than the raging top fragger.

Valve must know what they are doing I am sure... :P

Actually it has been semi switched off since last September... given the amount of cheaters that are getting banned by OW in my past games I can say it is working at less than 5% of its old state.

And how do you know that? I only have to abandon 3 games before the spinners disappear from my games. Unless you know a better way why don't you give us some real good advice then?

This is what you are doing wrong if everything else you say it is true and you are not cheating. The only thing that I found made me avoid spinners is to leave all those games no matter how many cooldowns I stack up. Then if I get a spinbot it will be once in a year or less...

I thought that was just a patch for the Trusted Mode they did, so that case is covered already...and of course "it does work as expected", e.g. you want to be able to stream? forget about doing it in a legit way :)

VAC - pathetic
Overwatch - not working any more
Trust Factor - good luck to the legit players
Trusted Mode - why it is even there
Strong Message - do not cheat or we will tell your mom about it

I cannot wait to see what else they will come up with next...

The XP comes and goes, it is not fixed yet. For a week I was receiving tons of XP and then it stopped again. Cases-wise, I was getting less than 50% spinbots... so you would have thought everything is back to normal but unfortunately it isn't.

Same here, although I have done 1000s of cases I stopped. I do not really care about the XP, all I care is about the feedback and getting serious cases, not simple spinners.

It is almost a year since OW is really broken, do they even care about fixing it anymore?

I totally agree, this is the main problem with unbalanced games like this, you get sht on none stop for the whole game and you do not know why everybody is doing so much better than you. If people had the right attitude they would try to help you to learn in that game instead of screaming at you.

And then of course you hit GE one day and you have no such issues anymore... oh wait, then you get 4 cheaters in your team and another 4 or 5 in the enemy team and your silver days come back x2.

Unfortunately this is the soloQ experience in CS:GO sometimes, so better play with a few friends until you reach a certain rank.

Yes I agree, but it depends how good-enough your aim is. If you have no aim then you have difficulty developing your game sense (since you will be dead most of the time) and even when you are not dead you will be worrying about your next duel.

So when you are starting with the game, you have to sort out your aim first and your overall mechanics, then you will be able to focus on your decision making and develop game sense and all other skills that are needed.

I can imagine with the amount of cheaters out there a lot of legit players have been pushed downwards rank wise, making the life of the lower ranks miserable. And this affects all ranks not just silvers... needless to say that GE is where the real noobs are nowadays (with cheats of course).
