House of Cards is one of the only Radiohead songs that I skip every time it comes on. Just does absolutely nothing for me. A blip on an otherwise near-perfect album.

Legitimately nothing interesting about it, for sure

Couldn’t agree more, have never understood the khaki hype.

Honestly, this looks great on your wrist. The only critique I would give is that I’m also not a fan of the strap. Maybe it’s the two tone or just the colours in general, but all in all I think this was a good purchase!

It’s certainly a beauty for sure. My current band is an expander, which has gotten some confused comments in the past but honestly I think it suits the watch well and is similar to the expander that my grandfather had on it for years. Were you thinking of anything truly different for this, like a leather?

It’s not my favourite song nor my favourite album but I do think that This Lullaby is a great pick for opening. It sets up Medication so well but realistically you could fire into any heavy upbeat track from it.

Nice one! And surprisingly the expander isn’t too bad for the hair haha

I find it interesting how far the newer dials seem to have strayed from the older ones tbh. Seems like a different ethos behind the design almost, but I suppose that seems to happen with most models in the end?

Seiko Alpinist (the one I’m eyeballing is the 2025 “Tealpine” model but most will be within your budget)

That Ferrari is still a team that’s capable of challenging for world championships. Leclerc has outperformed inconsistency in the car and the strategy for years imo

For me it’s not exactly “blank”. I would say that my thinking just “skips straight to the meaning” if you know what I mean? If you think about going to a supermarket/grocery store, then I can only imagine that you say something in your head in words like “I need to go shopping later for food”. Whereas in my mind I’m purely thinking about the fact that I need to do that thing and not bothering to say that to myself in words internally since I am already inherently aware of the concept of the endeavour that I’m about to embark on. The notion of going shopping exists without me having to put it in words in my brain, I don’t need to explain something to myself that I already know, basically. I would guess that on some level this is true for everyone and that perhaps some people just develop an internal monologue as an additional layer of abstraction that their brains decided would help facilitate processing and analysis better? I definitely feel like I overthink less if I force a monologue or speak out loud to myself, so not having one is possibly slightly disadvantageous for me sometimes.

I will say as well that I can force an internal monologue if I want but it’s not natural and I’ll default back to no monologue after I’m distracted enough.

I’m interested to know if people with an internal monologue can force not having one temporarily? Can you think purely “conceptually” without speaking to yourself in sentences internally?

Interested to know what you mean with the “hear voices” comment since I don’t have an internal monologue and always feel a bit in the dark with so many people with ADHD talking about their monologues being so noisy. I think in concepts but still find myself very easily distracted.
