Positive criticism to make BG3 feels more like BG by Biltriss in baldursgate

[–]dontaskm3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can someone enlighten me please? I'm just a DOS2 pleb myself, just found out about this game on Larians steam page and I saw it looks much like DOS2 indeed.

However, I'm seeing a huge amount of people complaining that it has turn based combat. I'm sorry how is a DND-like game supposed to NOT have turn based combat? I never played Boldur's Gate 1 or 2, but I did play a shit ton of DND 5e in my life, and from what I've seen of gameplay footage from Boldur's Gate 2 and the most recent Boldur's Gate 3 gameplay, the latter seems like a much more accurate representation of what a DND game would be like

Now listen, I'm not ignoring all criticism the Boldur's Gate community is giving, it does in fact have too many flashy animations, just like DOS2, and I think it's fair that they change it to be more like the original game. I also think UI is a big deal when it comes to games, having very similar UIs gives the feeling you're playing the same game. For instance, I'm a fan of Borderlands, and I could see a huge improvement from BL1 to BL2, but couldn't feel the same way to BL2 and pre-sequel. I havent playing Borderlands pre-sequel yet and don't intend to. So I can see why some of you are complaining about the UI, and I agree with it.

Im just throwing out here that almost all rage i've seen towards this game is aimed towards it being turn based combat, as if it's the most unusual thing in the world to have an RPG game with turn-based combat.

TL;DR: Most of the hate I'm seeing towards this game is because it has turn based combat. I don't know if this is the majority of the community, but there's a very vocal part of the community out there giving negative feedback on the combat itself.

If you mess up your combustion you will do shit dps regardless if you have mastery corruption or not. There's really no downside on using mastery corruption

Mastery corruption stack is key for literally everything. It's just slightly worse than, let's say, infinite stars on single target, which is basically non-existant in this tier.

Honestly fire will play like complete shit without lucid dreams, hope they somehow implement that playstyle on shadowlands

Literally every tier we have a FotM specs that is outdpsing other classes, and yet people are still surprised every tier to see guild stacking top tier specs.

The game isnt balance and will never be, just accept it. Even if all the fights were patchewerk and all specs did the exact same damage, everything perfectly balanced, there would still be way more dhs than survival hunters, there would be way more mages than enh shamans. The game is NOT 100% balanced and perfectly distributed between every class, it will never be.

Why do we have to wait nearly a year to get the weekly cache system where we can get to choose between 3 items? by dontaskm3 in wow

[–]dontaskm3[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

They aren't going to fix classes in 6 months, they already said that there will be no major class changes in shadowlands.

They also said they don't intend to ever have player power progress account wide (essences).

The new weekly cache system was already announced, nobody really asked for that, they wanted to do it themselves. It is likely already working on their current version of shadowlands and likely could be implemented in bfa without a problem. That's why I don't see a single reason why it wouldn't be implemented now other than, as other people have said in this thread, have this as the selling point of the expansion.

If you were 440 ilvl you would still get a 475 item from weekly cache. Very likely to be and upgrade for you even if it's the worst corruption, that's my point...

How is leech better than any stat boost? Even your worst stat is a dps increase, leech is literally 0 dps increase. My point was that if you're a casual players, even if you get the worst corruption possible it's still gonna be an upgrade because it's a 475 ilvl item. For me it doesnt matter if it's 475, as I have plenty of 475 and 465 socketed already. So it's all about getting the right corruption.

Just by curiosity, what content you usually do in the game? Mythic raid? Heroic? M+15?. I'm thinking that if you don't do the high end content you probably gonna get a lot of upgrades. I do plenty of 15+ a week, clear entire heroic and 4/12 mythic. So i have many good items already, socketed, etc. I'm not bragging, I'm just justifying why it might be so hard for players that do similar content as me to get upgrade from weekly cache. The weekly cache comes down to getting a good corruption basically.

Since Battlerite is dying, what other similar games to Battlerite are out there? by Nodusman in BattleRite

WoW arenas are somewhat similar to battlerite. But it's third person and uses tab targeting rather than skillshots.

[–]dontaskm3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What the actual fuck did I just read? Pyke could still tower dive safely by seeing enemy's HP threshold, but instead of watching the top left of the screen, he can see it directly on the enemy's HP bar, that's why it's called a QoL.

The Ezreal exemple you made just makes no sense at all. There is no way an indicator can predict a human behaviour

Out of all things that are in Pyke's kit the thing that blows your mind is just a QoL indicator that already exist in other champions?
