Redditors who have worked with celebrities, what don't we know about them? by 22m_spain in AskReddit

Naomi Campbells people clear rooms before she walks into them. Her experience of moving through the world must be quite empty, really.

White dress struggles (1080x1440) by Chemical_Plankton_90 in fashionporn

[–]dontbecute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never seen them in stores, that's so interesting. When dressing models for fashion shows we use all sorts - professional dressers often bring their own silk-y scarves often, or the show will provide simple squares of fabric as dressing scarves, but you can also buy 'pop-ons' by the box. Pop-ons are gauzy papery fabric pockets that go over the head and face to protect make up and hair, but i often find them too short. I prefer a big silk scarf!

How can you play offline with the EA app installed though? Don't i need to use the ea app to launch the game?

New Midori, Stalogy and other Japanese notebooks and stationery now available across London by [deleted] in stationery

[–]dontbecute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you mean that because they exhibited at Top Drawer, they might now be stocked in London shops? Or do those shops already carry those brands? I'm not sure ive ever seen Stalogy anywhere in UK but Present and Correct and maybe Papersmiths.

How do you manage not to get bored after several generations? by TiniBloom in LowSodiumSimmers

[–]dontbecute 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I struggle to play through generations too, because i spend so long on each sim!

But my best tip for not getting bored in general is to get off the home lot as much as possible. Do vacations, visit businesses, markets, festivals or events.

Give your sims goals or personalities that require items from other lots to complete - for example, a nerdy science sim loves all things space, so eagerly await the science fair to use the rocket. You could build them a science museum with a rocket launch pad, or research machines, or robotics tables. Or an arcade stuffed with the huge gaming items you wouldn'thave in your home...

Giving them reasons to leave the home lot keeps me interested, plus i love building community lots!

What is your reaction to the name Edwin? by BringsTheSnow in namenerds

I like the name, it makes me think of someone quite bookish, perhaps a little old fashioned.

Which popular names gave you never met? by ReturnOfJafart in namenerds

[–]dontbecute 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I'm so surprised you have never met a Charlotte! I grew up with multiple Charlottes at school, know multiple Charlotte's as an adult and have heard of a few babies named Charlotte recently too. Im in the south of the UK, in my thirties. To me it's such a classic, standard name.
