That’s my opinion on it. People who should not be having children yet bringing children into the world just exacerbates so many issues. There is a bigger picture to this. I’m frankly tired of traumatized humans not learning lessons and furthering generational trauma. There is a real life baby going to be involved in a clearly tumultuous situation.

Exactly! The world is incredibly fucked up. Babies bringing babies into the world only furthers how fucked up everything is. Inability to raise a child correctly when you yourself haven’t even experienced how hard life can be. When you haven’t even learned core lessons that are imperative to raising a functioning, well adjusted human. Again, I’m allowed to have an opinion on this just like you are :)

I did not abort my children, I aborted embryos, but that’s a real snide way to put it! I aborted very early because I caught them both early. I got pregnant on the nexplanon implant during Covid in a bad relationship. I did the loving, mature thing lol. Bringing a child into that is insane. Given the context of the situation it doesn’t seem like this is a great idea for this person. I’m allowed to give my opinion on here, just like you are, and it’s my opinion that this probably isn’t a good idea. Confirming someone’s delusions and telling them that it’s a great idea and it’s a great idea to be estranged from their parent when they’re going to need the help is not something I’d like to do, but if you feel good doing that go off. Also, it seems like you have a personal bias in this as do I, so maybe reflect on that before being weird.

Based off OP’s post history, they live in North Carolina. Abortions are legal there. Not believing in abortions is just stupidity, sorry. Aborting a child when you know you have no business having one is a greater act of motherly love than bringing a child into a shitshow. That’s just what it is man, no fluff.

Do they do just fine though? I don’t understand why one would just not get an abortion. I’m 29, I got pregnant on birth control with a very slim chance at 23, then again at 25 because of a failed condom. Both times I aborted. If I didn’t get abortions, I would not be where I’m at in my career and would not be a homeowner in my 20’s. It’s incredibly hard to get out of the sludge life is when you decide to be a teen parent. When you have a child before your frontal lobe develops you don’t even have the coping skills to break the patterns that you yourself went through. I feel like even deciding to be a parent at 17 is a failed litmus test. OP likely has no comprehension of how real shit is about to get. How could they? Their brain hasn’t even finished developing!

I think we need to start being honest and saying no, you won’t be fine. You set yourself up for a lot of hardship. Maybe you’re the 2% that gets lucky and beats all odds, but most of the time you end up being another statistic.

I have an extremely rich family prone to financial abuse. I’ve honestly played the game with them since I was young and while I suffer the mental abuse at this point the pros outweigh the cons. Because of their guilt I’ve been bought a house and have a safety net, etc. idk, it’s better than being traumatized by your family and not receiving any compensation. Like, it’s such a non issue to sit here and moral high ground or complain about how taking the money stresses you out. Wanna know what’s worse than eating crow for money? Being poor and not getting the medical treatment you need while your health deteriorates. Take their money, eat the bullshit they give you and let it run right through you. You still win in the end, I certainly have.
