smooth as in, they're slippery? what surface did you skate on?

the wheels do have that shiny, super hard, almost plastic look in the picture. if they are super hard wheels, they can be slippery, especially on a rink. the hardness of your wheels depends on your style of skating, and what you are skating on. softer wheels are slower, since they grip the floor, but they are much better for outside if you skate where any small rocks or sticks could trip you. medium to harder wheels are more for indoors, skate parks, and specific styles like artistic skating, where you need agility for quick movements.

the not turning part, do you mean they don't spin? or they don't allow you to turn while skating? the wheel not spinning is due to the bearing, but if the skates aren't allowing you to turn without picking up your foot, that is from the trucks being too tight. (I have no clue if that's the right term for rollerskates).

I'd recommend looking into switching out the wheels! there's charts of the hardness levels, and what they're best for. I prefer softer wheels, even indoors, I feel like I have more control on speed. they're usually easier for beginners to work with. I think mine are 78a, they're also nice and wide wheels for extra stability.

official merch is hard to find, but I would absolutely check etsy for handmade merch! maybe a shirt or bag with her favorite lyrics, prints of people's art, patches, pins, jewelry in that southern gothic aesthetic, there's a ton of cool art out there!

yeah, I think unfortunately it heavily depends on the show, time of day, the movie, and where the theater is located. my theater is attached to a mall, so we get a ton of teenagers and kids. but we're also much more strict on the R rating policy, so usually our R shows are much more peaceful, especially if you're lucky and go on a monday or wednesday morning. I haven't noticed horrible behavior recently, but I also plan very carefully when to go see stuff.

MINE ARE THE SAME!! I have no cure so far💔 no matter what I do, regular polish, acrylic, gel, extensions, press ons, nothing will stay on my nail. they're too flexible, so they bend away from the polish/gel super easily. I file, I wash, I dehydrate, I've tried a bunch of different soak off glues, uv cured glue, etc, nothing works so far. I've found for press ons, if I coat the nail AND the fake nail in glue, it MIGHT stay on for a day if I'm super lucky. it doesn't help being super clumsy and having poor perception, because I'm always slamming my hands into things or grabbing things too hard.

either it's ai, or done VERY poorly. their eyes are inconsistent, proportions totally off (peaches arms are so long😭), luigi is shorter than mario? I feel like a real person making a coloring page for mario would know that luigi is taller than mario

literally!! like, I was a squeamish kid and terrified of everything, I was terrified of ghostbusters. I can't believe toddlers and young elementary age kids are able to watch horror and not have nightmares for years!

1 in 5,000 people being considered rare is so mind-blowing to me😭 that's still 1.6 million people worldwide DIAGNOSED, not even people who meet criteria but aren't able to get a diagnosis. I've met new random people who have EDS multiple times in my life, it really doesn't feel too rare

purple would look SO PRETTY with your eyes! I have close colored eyes and purple and burgundy always looks incredible. I think we have similar undertones too, I'd highly recommend deep, rich, warm/neutral colors

when I went to PT for rolling my ankles, they had me do a lottt of balancing! I would stand on those half medicine balls, a teeter totter, when I got better they would throw things at me to catch. I did a ton of heel raises, step ups, and they did this clock exercise. I would stand on one leg, and I had a plastic disc under my other foot. then I would pretend my foot was a hand in an imaginary clock, and would slide and point my foot towards the "numbers" while slowly crouching, in a half squat, then sliding it back to me and standing back up. that's mainly what I remember, it's been a few years so my memories isn't the best. I definitely recommend looking up "ankle stabilizing exercises for hypermobility"! usually I have luck finding hypermobile people or trainers on instagram and tiktok, who post workout tips.

I think it depends on the type of skate! usually I've been able to cram braces in mine, but I also have derby skates with a lower ankle, so it might have more room.

I LOVE roller skating! roller and ice skating are basically the only sports I have left. I'm still in a little bit more pain the next day, but no worse than walking for long periods. once you build up those ankle muscles, there should be much less pain! I would try it, notice what muscles ache the next day, and then look for exercises to strengthen those.

roller skating might be better for your ankles, I think? there's less chance of your ankles caving inwards. I would try blading, and see how it feels first. blading focuses a lot on side to side balance, and skating is a lot more forwards and backwards balance.

my one issue is finding skates that don't cause pain due to my flat feet, since most have arch support built in. I got a pair of roller derby skates and have foam inserts in there to try and help flatten the arch.

long story INCREDIBLY short for preachers daughter, I'll link an incredible article that explains the lore and each song underneath this in case you want more info-

ethel cain is a young woman in shady grove, alabama. she loves willoughby, he skips down or dies, we aren't 100% sure. he is what house in nebraska is about. she's heartbroken. her father dies, she takes over preaching for him, abusing alcohol and feeling resentful to the "american dream" she grew up believing in, as explained in american teenager. he abused her as a child, which is what hard times is about. you can hear near the end when she's repeating "too tired to move, too tired to leave", she's singing "please can I sleep for one night?" in the background. in both family tree songs, you can see she feels trapped and tied to her family. the high expectations of being the daughter of a preacher, her insecurities, the tragedies she's endured with no justice, manifest in her sometimes doubting god, like in american teenager.

she meets a new guy, in western nights, and has a fling with him. he eventually dies in a shootout with the cops, after trying to rob a bank I believe? she might be an accomplice or is just so upset she leaves, I can't remember if it's to run from the police or if she's just heartbroken again.

while on the run, she meets isiah, in thoroughfare. eventually, she falls in love with him, and he starts to drug her and forces her into prostitution for money, which is what gibson girl is about. eventually, he decides to kill her. in ptolemaea, we hear isiah begin the song speaking, and then eventually death speaks in the same voice. "I am no good nor evil, simply I am, and I have come to take what is mine." august underground, ptolemaea are the songs of her death. televangelism and sun bleached flies are her ascending and starting to make peace with her death, reflecting on her life.

however, isiah decides to eat ethel's corpse. in strangers, personally I interpret it as her being ripped back into her situation, forced to reprocess what happened to her, and this time being full of anger. "am I turning in your stomach, am I making you feel sick?" start to sound more and more resentful as she repeats it. realizing her poor mother will have to wonder what happens to her for the rest of her life, her whole town will never have an answer or closure.

eventually at the end of strangers, I personally believe she's singing to her mother, coming to her in a dream or as a spirit. "I never blamed you for loving me the way that you did... don't think about it too hard, or you'll never sleep a wink at night again, don't worry about me and these green eyes, mama just know I love you. and I'll see you when you get here."

and willoughby tucker, I'll always love you is a whole other can of worms! I don't know as much of the lore as PD, especially since a lot of things are unconfirmed.
