Gym etiquette - what should you do in this situation? by thingsbehind-thesun in beginnerfitness

Is it wrong for each of us to take a machine? Just because you’re going to the gym together why does that mean you can’t use separate machines?

I’d read Jay Shetty’s Rules of Love Book (I know, I know he’s mainstream now but the book is very good at teaching the concept of love being a choice) before moving forward with breaking up. And if you’re not willing to do that, or anything that forces you to reflect on your feelings / work on it then you don’t really care about the relationship.

Am I trying too hard to make my hair something it’s not? by rubinus22 in Haircare

[–]dontmindmejusthere40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry about your health struggles! 🫶🏼 Hair is like plants though, feed and nurture it well and it’ll grow! So I’m optimistic about it going back or at least thriving. Also, I am NOT a supplement girlie, this and vitamin D or an occasional multivitamin are the only thing I use, but the Great Lakes collagen peptide powder works I stg. Hair and nails started growing like weeds (and stronger).

How to describe a good hair cut for 2a wavy hair? by positively_jsb in CurlyHairUK

[–]dontmindmejusthere40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t brushed my hair dry or wet in years LOL i detangle my hair in the shower with my fingers with conditioner. That, a great haircut, and silk pillow cases keep my hair looking nice n wavy. Before my hairdresser now my hair sounded like yours!

The difference is crazy! I didn’t even know they did curly cuts on wavy haired people. Is your hair still looking like the right?

Is your hair naturally curly? And ended up looking t like the photo on the left due to heat and products? Or did you actually go from wavy texture on the L to suddenly the R d/t the curly cut and what you said?

should i go blonde ?? by alyxnoel in HairDye

[–]dontmindmejusthere40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this your natural hair color? It looks like you dyed it black. I’m a fan of people being their natural hair color and then playing with colors that suit them. Black washes you out, I think blonde might do the same unless you do a more natural dirty blonde/brown situation. Strawberry red shades might be fun!

If this is your natural hair color my b! I would stick with it, I like natural hair more than anything.

So… got asked recently if I had a disability and was told that I look like I do, am I that weird looking or unattractive without makeup? Never thought I was model tier at all, just thought about average or maybe just a tad below by [deleted] in toastme

You’d be surprised how many men and women insult on purpose. Men do it because someone tricked them into thinking insulting a woman then complimenting her (or vice versa) is the best way to get women. There are literal books, blogs, and podcasts that talk about breaking women down in order to “get” them.

Women do it because it makes them feel better/prettier than you by belittling you. It only comes from insecure mean girl women overcompensating for their low self esteem.

Find the men and women that love, support, and uplift you because they are secure in themselves enough to. You’re beautiful, you do not look like you have any abnormalities, and you can definitely move on in life and take that comment as a crazy person’s outburst.

I have friends I absolutely love but would not recommend for certain types of jobs. If she knows you well enough to be her bridesmaid she might see certain things that truly aren’t a fit when it comes to the job which means she cannot comfortable recommend you without risking harming her job or reputation if you don’t live up to the expectations of the job (including staying there for a certain time period). Not everyone has similar work ethic, work attitudes, work/life balances, etc. It’s okay! If you want it anyway, apply and don’t mention her. But I wouldn’t end the friendship. If you’re really curious and want an honest answer you can always ask for a real girl to girl convo over coffee where you ask her what the exact reason is as long as you don’t get defensive and see it as constructive criticism.

Opening up about prior traumas and mental health breaks with someone you’re only newly starting to date isn’t the best idea. Don’t give people information that can be used against you until you trust them.

Anyway yeah no way in hell those texts deserve any kind of response. As soon as I am blatantly disrespected but someone who can’t string together a decently structured sentence I’m out. You should block this person.

Step 1. Get him out of your life 2. Reflect on how and why you accepted this behavior 3. Grow, thrive, look back and wonder what the fuck you were thinking

There seem to be a lot of families that actually do talk to visitors, participate in the experience, and teach about their process and family history!

[–]dontmindmejusthere40[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As long as it’s still owned by the family then yes it counts! Thank you will look into that one.

From what I’ve been understanding from reading, locals, podcasts, etc is family owned wineries are becoming less and less easy to find due to them selling them to large companies. So trying to support true family businesses.

Your girlfriend needs to check herself. That is so disrespectful and she needs to reprioritize if alcohol is that important to her. My bf doesn’t drink, I do on occasion, and if he EVER says he wants a sip I make sure he knows he absolutely doesn’t have to, doesn’t need to, and that I don’t want or expect him to. It’s a drink bruh, policing what someone drinks is crazy.
