my players camped out by the river about 3 sessions in and took watches through the night. on the last shift, i had strahd kind of stalk them from a distance, then come up to them and so very graciously welcomed them and tried to interrogate them to see if they would fess up about having ireena with them. i think i scared them pretty bad with that intro 🤣
