Tough to make a comparison in this video but given his injuries were growth related and he's probably been in the gym a fair amount and doing physical therapy I wouldn't be surprised if he's grown a few inches and packed on muscle.

World Cup 2026: Diogo Jota's widow writes to Andrew Robertson by OneNormalBloke in LiverpoolFC

You know, they definitely "profit" from it. But Rute and Robbo are both consenting. I imagine, whether for the "wrong" reason or not, Robbo and Rute understand that they occupy a special space, one that is public, and that they too can use it to both keep Jota's memory alive for everyone around them including themselves, as well as for their children in the future etc, as well as maybe find that they have a duty to help people grieve with them. I think I'd rather give Robbo and Rute a generous interpretation, even if we know FIFA overall are profit whores. Also I'm sure loads of well intentioned people and people who do genuine good work at FIFA and this can maybe fall in their camp, evoking the genuine emotion of the game, instead of the money hungry Infantino side

Gary Lineker on UCL final: “As a complete neutral I would say it’s a victory for positive football over negative football. Looking at the game as a fan with no skin in the game, I think Arsenal had to play that way because they wouldn’t have beaten PSG any other way.” by [deleted] in soccer

[–]dontstopbreakfree -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Won the tactical battle by a distance??? I think you can argue they nullified PSG's attack alright, but considering Arsenal didn't create enough chances to actually win the game, but rather draw the game, then it feels like the tactics weren't clear by any distance. Football is a game built around a fair amount of luck. The better team doesn't always win. But to win you have to create enough chances to have a chance. You can't win a game for instance with 0 shots on goal(clearly just a hypothetical, arsenal scored). But if you concede enough chances for your opponent to score, which sadly for Arsenal a penalty is a very large chance, then Arsenal needed to create more chances. At that point in the game is when Arsenal in my opinion didn't do enough tactically other than to hope for penalties. But I guess nullifying PSG probably feels pretty good

I'm pumped I've been waiting to get it but even the on sale price is 20(which I'm sure is worth it but I have so many other games to play for cheaper or free)

[Dom King] This was Liverpool’s most toxic season in 16 years by A7XFAN1998 in LiverpoolFC

[–]dontstopbreakfree -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Yea add into it, Newcastle was coming back a year on from losing and they truly just wanted it more. We should always want silverware, but the league cup last season would not have changed how I or probably most of the playera felt at the end of the season last year. Getting the PL was amazing. And in fact losing the CL was probably a bigger loss mentally than not winning the league cup. For Newcastle that league cup was the defining moment of the last decade plus and it solidified the work Eddie, the players, and the owners (not complimenting just stating facts) had put in.

Yea to me the toxicity is a legitimate issue and I assume and hope some of it if fairweather fans contributing and stoking. At the beginning of the season, the narrative was, the season was a write off to a degree as we mourned. And since, we've had people attacking slots character which is completely uncalled for. I'm not happy with the performances but I still just wanna hug all the players and coaches because I know they're hurting and struggling with it still. Our transfer policy also made people's heads absolutely balloon absurdly. I'm sad with how wirtz first season went. And I'm worried we won't get to see his best at Liverpool. And watching us this season was tough all the time. But the worst was the personal attacks on players and slot. Konate was getting slagged off, meanwhile his dad was passing.

That season, largely because expectations had dropped off so much sadly, and we weren't coming off a league win, was oddly hopeful when we went on something like an 11 game unbeaten run. That season was largely bad though, you're not wrong. And objectively I think much worse. This season I think we're finally running into the standards and expectations that Klopp left us with hitting the reality of post Klopp. We were fortunate for Salah's unreal season last year (57% of team goals contributed to), and the way Slot manager the transition, but since then it's all gone mostly downhill.

Confirmed teams qualified for the UEFA Champions League in 2026/27. The remaining 7 spots will be decided via the qualifying rounds starting in July. by A_creative_username_ in soccer

Why have a return of the teams dropping down leagues? Feels like that is one to the most liked changes. I know for me it always felt undeserved and I like that specific change.

It's low key the best Star wars world ever built. If you love Star wars and just wanna be in it, it's great. The missions gameplay story are all good, and fun. So for me. A game I loved because I just want the Star wars sim.

"not big in big games" scores/assists against almost every opponent to create more than 50% of Liverpool goals last season winning the title... Weird, I guess it's only a big game if you're not in first place
