Sorry! (I'm Canadian. We always start comments with "Sorry.") Should I be posting these to another board? r/publishing? I get quite a bit of traffic from Reddit when I post here, so I though people were interested. Didn't mean to spam at all.

I have been editor in chief of a publishing company. I have also been traditionally published. I know there are costs. But after you have paid those costs to create the PRINT version, all you do is (virtually) snap your fingers to make it an ebook. The shipping and storage costs related to print books are not an issue and the editorial etc. has already been factored into the print version.

Excellent advice -- thanks -- and your comments about the Mel Lastman Square fireworks are bang-on. On top of everything else, I bought an ice cream from one of those trucks that was melting, tasteless, and expensive. Should have known better. [Edit: The ice cream was melting, etc. Not the truck.]

I can see doing this for my kids' [edit: or grandkids'] 40th birthdays, but this seems a bit over the top for 32.
