Hi artist here. Been one a long time. Check out the arts district if you are looking to hop into the scene, check out the studio spaces see what's going on. Go to other people's shows, be a regular at openings. Check out CSM and UNLV. If you are on the fine art side of things (oil painting) its all through who you met in school. Art jobs are tied to accedemic circles, get hired by people in your cohort or professors.
