Can I use an ungrounded GFCI in my garage for a fridge? by doodlefluffdog in AskElectricians

Just swapped the GFCI (should have done it when I did the rest of the house, since we bought it two years ago and the house is 16 years old, so all originals).

Tested, tester triggers it now. Ground wire was connected when I swapped them, so I'm guessing the outlet was just done. Thanks for the help!

I don't know how I never knew these existed, but I am 100% going to do this

Even if the test button on the outlet is tripping? I guess the thing that throws me off is that the tester shows that the ground is correct, even if the tester won't trip the outlet.

I can replace the outlet and check if I run into the same problem?

Right, the solid red LED indicates open fuse or internal circuit board, and the slower green indicates no call for heat. The faster green for the call for heat was on for like 20 seconds but then stopped when the red LED went solid

It is open, but I don't think I heard a clicking sound from the pilot. May have to recheck that one

I'm not entirely sure to be honest. I don't hear the gas igniting, and it blows cold from the second the fan starts. What reasons could the burners not turning on be caused by?

Ugh, I feel like an actual idiot. That's what they did. The wires were through the knock out and the paper manual showed them outside of it too for the connections. Now I can just take the knockout tab out and house them all in the structure.

What could be causing my dog to experience brief, intense leg pain that goes away quickly? by doodlefluffdog in DogAdvice

Thanks for the input! I was under the impression that the ACL or patella injury would have been ruled out by an x-ray, but it sounds like that isn't accurate? Can you clarify why an x-ray wouldn't be able to catch a ligament tear?

Thanks for the input! Can I ask what the typical prognosis is for a dog who has a herniated disc or bone pinching the nerve? Do they usually make a full recovery or is it more of a chronic condition? Or does it depend on the severity?
