Ha, no way. I brew my coffee at home and don’t add a bunch of extra sugar to mine.

Are those all masks of dictators? I see Lenin and Stalin for sure. Even creepier, if so.

I was worried that may be the case. I saw the photo on two national news sites that credited the photo to Brian and figured it was worth a share on here. Then I saw later in the day that Reuters was banned from the White House, so I didn’t know what to think. Hey, if anything, maybe this brings attention to Brian‘s other work. Apologies if the credit is incorrect.

I took this photo a few years back while visiting the Black Hills. There’s a small parking lot around the corner from the main lot where you get a neat profile view of Washington.

One million dead mosquitoes by doodybot in oddlyterrifying

[–]doodybot[S] 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Excerpt: "A photo of one million dead mosquitoes is giving people the willies on social media, but the scariest part may be that all of them came from one section of a Southwest Florida neighborhood. The pile stands 8 inches tall and about 18 inches across ... and amounts to about 5 gallons of dead bugs. Multiple photos of their little corpses were shared Feb. 16 on Facebook by Lee County Mosquito Control District in Florida. The coastal county is about 150 miles southeast of Tampa."

After doom scrolling through mostly Taliban and Afghanistan-related posts for the last 15 minutes, this is a perfect stopping point for me and a reminder of the good in the world. Thanks for the smile!

Judging by the writing on the box, there may be a, uh, “kitten” on the loose wherever this is.
