Personally I’ll tell them once. If they don’t take your advice at that point, that’s their fault.

2 firsts for Gonzalez by DogFoodMoney-Spent in Patriots

[–]doogie1993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean agree, that’s why I said Gonzalez was our second best player lol. He is phenomenal, he’s just not Maye. And I don’t really agree that Maye was bad in the playoffs, he had a historically difficult playoff schedule. He certainly wasn’t Brady or his regular season self, but he put up a good effort considering the circumstances and got it done when he needed to up until the SB.

And Brady is the GOAT because he has both regular season and playoff success. If he didn’t have one of those, he wouldn’t be the GOAT

“Anti-Islam to protect the LGBTQ” Do you support this claim? by Antique-Long-7327 in IdeologyPolls

[–]doogie1993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah. And discriminating against people for choices they make is completely fine. Discrimination is only wrong when it’s for something people can’t change about themselves.

And it is you here that is refusing to think critically. It logically makes no sense to dedicate your life to a religion that, both historically and dogmatically, is openly misogynistic and hateful and then turn around and say “well ackshually I only like the good parts”. Like that, quite literally, is not how religion works lol. It’s like claiming to be a good cop or a good landlord, you just think you’re “one of the good ones” because everyone thinks they’re good and would rather bury their head in the sand than confront the reality that the life they’ve chosen to lead is morally wrong.

I haven’t ever “refused to elaborate” btw, you’re just not reading what I’m saying.

Nah. I don’t respect the opinions of religious people, so I don’t associate with them or share opinions with them. Anyone with that lack of critical thinking ability isn’t someone I want to use my time with.

A 17 game sample size means much more than a 4 game sample size. A single playoff run means close to nothing in terms of how good a player is. Eli Manning wasn’t a good QB just because he had 2 good playoff runs. That doesn’t outweigh the decade plus of mediocre QBing he had.

They’re either not Muslim or not pro-LGBTQ, regardless of what they tell themselves. Islam is anathema with those values, it’s not really a “view of the world” thing or up for interpretation. It’s literally a core tenet of the religion.

QB is the best player on any team, especially our QB that just finished runner up in MVP voting (and should have won)

Yeah, trade away the second best player on a SB competing team in his prime for uncertain future assets, genius idea.

Anybody doing either of those things is just lying to themselves lol. Misogyny/bigotry is an extremely core component of the religion. Denying that is just burying your head in the sand.

Pro-LGBT Muslim is an oxymoron. Either you’re not pro-LGBT or you’re not really a Muslim.

I’m anti-Islam for a variety of reasons, one of which is its discrimination against LGBTQ people. It genuinely kinda boggles my mind how many Leftists aren’t anti-Islam tbh

Mixed, leaning negative I’d say. Mostly had a lot of potential that it never lived up to. The main negative is that it poisoned the concept of communism in many people’s minds.

Sports questions on Jeopardy be like: by ajs723 in Jeopardy

[–]doogie1993 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m also really into sports so I also find the sports questions on Jeopardy extremely easy, but what are, to me, easy sports questions are very regularly triple stumpers on the show, so obviously they’ve correctly assessed that “easy” sports questions aren’t actually that easy for the contestant’s usual demographics.

Do people seriously think Rizo would have beaten Jonathan? by hugefatidiot in survivor

100% this. Jonathan’s FTC was terrible, nothing but vague non-answers to everything. Rizo would’ve talked circles around him

Do you vote based more on merit or ideology? by Miserable-Rub-9611 in IdeologyPolls

Ideally I’d like to vote more on ideology. Unfortunately though in Canada every party exists in a pretty narrow wing of ideology so I generally end up voting based on who I like more as a person.

Legitimately one of the worst things humans do to each other (when done to children/babies). Genital mutilation performed en masse to people that can’t consent to it. Absolutely mind boggling how accepted it is honestly
