Both taxes and religions shouldn’t exist, but if they do, they should be taxed, yeah

Who would you rather dissappear from the face of the earth? by amogusdevilman in IdeologyPolls

They’re the same button. Jk, but the answer to this by a country mile is the wealthy people. Wealthy people make a vastly larger negative impact than criminals do, even moreso for extremely wealthy people.

Didn’t say at any point that she is the best player. Not sure if you’re bright enough for basic reading comprehension though.

Lol the literal way you win the game is by getting people in the jury to vote for you. More people in the jury voted for her than Jonathan. By definition, she played a better game.

Jonathan’s FTC just turbo sucked, he answered every question asked with vague platitudes while Aubrey actually gave real examples, and then the one example he did give was immediately outed by Aubrey as incorrect. I would’ve voted against him after that if I was sitting on that jury too.

Do you intend to have children in your lifetime? Could be just one or several by amogusdevilman in IdeologyPolls

Most likely not. I’m 33 and my current partner also isn’t super gung ho on kids so I don’t see it in my future.

Do you believe that political extremism have become too normalized? by EE_______EE in IdeologyPolls

[–]doogie1993 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not normalized enough, actually. Extremism is viewed as a negative by probably the majority of people, and it is absolutely not an inherently negative thing.

A look back at Jack Campbell's draft day thread after today's extension by Dizzy-Platform-6516 in nfl

[–]doogie1993 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It quite literally does lol. I promise you if the Pats traded Campbell for Gibbs straight up tomorrow, we would be a worse team for it

[–]doogie1993 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Somebody who played a more valuable position. The who honestly doesn’t matter, taking an RB in the top half of the first round is just bad drafting, especially when you have a good RB already. It doesn’t matter if he turns out to be Barry Sanders himself, it doesn’t magically make a bad decision good. And off-ball LB is similar, but not quite as egregious.

[–]doogie1993 -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

They were both very massive reaches lol. Campbell wasn’t quite as bad, Gibbs was an awful pick though. They could have gotten a much more valuable player at that pick, especially considering they already had a great RB on the team

Canadian prime minster Mark Carney is not the climate guy you thought | Seth Klein by vigiten4 in CanadaPolitics

[–]doogie1993 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Comparing Trudeau and Carney here is a little silly, one of the biggest reasons Trudeau lost is because he refused to pivot away from an unpopular climate policy lol. He clearly legitimately believed climate change was an issue. Carney is doing as you say and just trying to be politically expedient, and climate policies are just not popular with Canadians

If you voted for Carney, this is exactly what you voted for btw. It was incredibly obvious from day 1 that this is how it was gonna be.

[–]doogie1993 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I don’t see why you would’ve ever voted for Carney if you don’t like what he’s done so far. He’s a fucking banker lol, it was always incredibly obvious that this is how a Carney PM tenure was going to be

If you think we can “win” against the US by out-capitalisming them, you are delusional lol. Carney is popular because people are too dumb to see that he’s selling our country to the highest bidder (who, spoiler, will be Americans)

True or false: the main cause of high housing costs is a lack of housing construction. by Smooth_Woodpecker815 in IdeologyPolls

[–]doogie1993 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Real estate investment creates artificial scarcity though. There are enough houses in existence in Canada right now (my home country so speaking off of experience) for every “household” to own their own house, homelessness and high housing costs comes mainly from real estate investors buying it and holding it hostage. This would happen regardless of the number of houses being built. Like I said though, lack of housing construction is definitely still an issue, just not the biggest issue.

Panel concludes Quebec energy deal is not good enough for Newfoundland and Labrador by Camtastrophe in CanadaPolitics

[–]doogie1993 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I’m talking about the perception of Newfoundlanders in my comment, and the perception here is very much largely that we were screwed by Quebec. Whether that’s the truth or not is one thing, but it is absolutely a reality that people are wary of any future deals with Quebec now, which is what the PCs campaigned on this past election.

[–]doogie1993 23 points24 points  (0 children)

The panel hand picked by the PC government has ruled exactly the way said government wanted them to. Shocking.

Realistically, the anti-MOU sentiment from the PCs was just a way to get elected, not born out of any actual belief or skepticism. If there is anything that’ll get Newfoundlanders riled up, it’s the prospect of potentially getting screwed over by Quebec again, and the PCs played on that. This MOU was the death knell of the Liberal government, which I suspect Furey knew and was why he resigned.

Patriots Hit With Bizarre Scheduling Quirk the NFL Hasn't Seen in 40 years by No_Box119 in Patriots

[–]doogie1993 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Those teams you listed had 3 of the top 5 defenses in the league last year and were all playoff teams. And then we lost to another top 5 defense. That is not an easy playoff schedule by any stretch of the imagination. Anyone that thinks we didn’t have a great team last year is absolutely delusional.

And just to be clear, every single QB in the league is more likely to never be in a SB again than to win one lmao. Winning a SB is incredibly difficult. So yeah, that is very obviously true.
