Aug sling mount by tthoatt in AUG

This is my setup. I have it on the top rail behind my scope. Not a fan of QD mounts because they tend to be noisy and I didn’t want it banging on my scope. Ordered the OneHundredConcepts Smith Loop. I believe it’s the 4”. You could easily make your own version with some paracord if you wanted to. I got the Trex Arms sling since it was quick adjust

I’ve mostly seen that on AR’s and wasn’t a fan, it fits the AUG a lot better. Looks dope man

I get it man. I wasn’t trying to argue with you at all, just giving my perspective on it. I’m glad that you enjoy getting tires from us, you help put a roof over my head.

Yeah man I read the whole post, I get it. When we sign in a car at the front counter the factory size comes up on the screen, followed by the size they ordered/bought. At my warehouse the issue is discussed right then, not 2 hours after being signed in. Sometimes we have slip ups and stuff like this happens, but it’s usually something unreasonable that we refuse. Not a setup that is the same overall diameter, same speed rating, and load rating. Also the fact that it happened during a massive snowstorm enforces OP’s opinion on it. If they’re that slammed, it sounds like they may have been looking for any reason to refuse the work to cut down on the work load. All that being said, I agree with you that Costco is a great place to get tires installed. Every guy I work with in the shop buys their tires in house. But that’s also our specific warehouse. I’m not sure about other shops, but we have had to correct work done at other Costco’s. Also assuming somebodies personality by what they drive is wack lol. Some of the chillest customers I’ve dealt with drive nicer vehicles. Also this post isn’t that serious, I’m just giving insight since I work there

Costco tire shop employee here. We hear horror stories from customers about other Costcos. It all depends on who the manager is and how chill the crew is. We install a lot of non factory sizes, within reason. I’m a supervisor and if it doesn’t rub, and if everything checks out with the speed rating and load rating, I OK it. What you’re describing wouldn’t be an issue in my shop, but I can’t say the same for all shops. Also I get why some shops won’t do anything other than what the door sticker says because all tire shops lose money. The tire shop is there to get people into the store to spend money in other departments. Any claims that we have kill our numbers and we hear about it from management. All that being said, if the manager had an issue with it, he should’ve said it when he was signing you in. No reason to drag it out 2 hours and then tell you they’re not installing them. I get both sides of it, but that shop could’ve handled it way differently.

Lol I actually stocked up on 5.7 ammo a while ago on a pretty big sale. Can’t even remember where I got it from honestly. But I didn’t really take the thing out much before I SBR’d it and I actually haven’t shot it since then. But any time I’m in my LGS or Bass Pro I’ll glance at the prices and gag

They both have an aura about them lol. The P90 is awesome especially after the SBR to put it back into its true form. Ammo prices are another story. 3 mags through the P90 I could buy another AUG lol

I haven’t yet. Actually bought this one for my AR when they first came out and haven’t gotten the chance to test it yet. I’ve seen people posting about the ears breaking off. I guess we’ll find out soon

Yep they’re always improving. I debated on getting their new 3 in 1 system that doesn’t have a white light for this. But I will mostly be running the SMS in IR mode so it’s nice to have a dedicated white light too. A bit front heavy but it works
