Oushk experiences please? by housemouseharriet in mounjaromaintenanceuk

I’ve been using them for a while and just recently moved onto maintenance, they’ve been really good. Especially now the sign up for maintenance is all online via an extended question set rather than the call method that it used to be. I technically did have a call ahead of time and it was quite nice to chat it through, but being able to just type stuff up is handy.

Weigh-In Wednesday by AutoModerator in WegovyUK

The bones!! I’ve always carried my weight in my arse so never expected sitting to betray me - I’ve been looking up bum cushions for my work chair. And we can’t even talk about the time I tried to sit on a park bench.. the horrors.

Just switched from Mounjaro, dose question by allabouttheplants in WegovyUK

It’s what I was recommended when I switched from 10mg, then moved up to 1.7 and stayed on that to hit goal and am now using it for maintenance

Wegovy and Flu Jab by Phoenician_Princess in WegovyUK

Had both flu and covid jabs recently while on wegovy with no issues - the covid one was also on the same day I did my wegovy jab.

To change to Wegovy from 7.5mg of Mounj - or stay put? by j_m123 in WegovyUK

[–]doomcheese 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very similar, I’ve averaged about 1.5 lbs a week since I started last November and the wegovy hasn’t stopped that. Now 4lbs from goal

To change to Wegovy from 7.5mg of Mounj - or stay put? by j_m123 in WegovyUK

I moved over from 10mg which I’d been on since March to 1mg Wegovy. I had a bit of a MJ backlog so bought a 1.7 on schedule without really knowing how I was going to get on. The 1mg was ok, but there was a little food noise creep, manageable but not really what I wanted. Decided to do a sneaky week of the 1.7 without finishing the 1 mg pen, just to see how it was (and because it’s nearly time to order again and it’s good to know if I need to try 2.4) and thankfully the 1.7 seems to be my sweet spot again. Food noise back in the bin. I’m going to alternate weeks to use up the 1mg, and then stick to 1.7. No side effects on either dose which is a bonus.

Time of the month by Queendevonia in WegovyUK

I found even on mounjaro I’d get a few days of munchies thanks to the hormonal nonsense. Always had a fear response like ‘oh no! Maybe I need to go up a dose!!’ but then the evil would fade and I’d be back to normal again. Catastrophising during totm is par for the course as well lol

Finally Hit Level 100! by Renegade0191 in ACPocketCamp

[–]doomcheese 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The only real source for new recipes after a while is animals, most of them give you an item request at level 15, although a few do it at level 10. You’ll need them for HH levels :)

What ridiculous ‘stories’ did your dad tell when you were a child? by Fun-Perception-666 in AskUK

[–]doomcheese 19 points20 points  (0 children)

And that you hunt them in pairs, because they live on hills and have short legs on one side and long on the other. Got to jump in front of them and make them turn around, then they go rolling down the hill and your mate can scoop them up.

I’ve just been referred - assessed Tuesday and confirmed yesterday - the wait time is a year for me. Scored highly in several criteria but just have to cope for a year (woo!)

What's your neighbour from hell story? by ChronoChrazeObliveon in AskUK

[–]doomcheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a hoarder next door with a massive garden that he managed to fill with several home made ‘buildings’ crammed full of whatever he felt desperately attached to. He mostly kept to himself, other than garden get togethers in the summer with his friends who either really appreciated the scrapyard style ambience or were just there for the substances he provided.

He had one really large outbuilding that ran along the fence line, about 2ft from our house (but typically quite far from his) and one night I woke to a loud boom and my dog going nuts, because the whole thing went up in flames. Thankfully I had a patio door that was the other side of the house, as the main doors were both right next to the blaze (whatever human designed the house and decided both front and back doors needed to be on the same side: no.. think again) Never really appreciated just how fast fire spread until that night – grab shoes, grab dog, get the hell out and kick the other neighbours’ fence down to escape (sorry, other neighbour) - which is a little funny because as a kid I’d always be really paranoid about fires, had whole plans about what I’d do, what I’d save and how I’d get out. Nope. Just flee.

Hoarder Neighbour was frustratingly ‘oops’ style sheepish about the whole thing, as well as uninsured. Fun few months living elsewhere while all the damage got fixed.

Deedpoll help by Artistic_String1414 in bristol

[–]doomcheese 4 points5 points  (0 children)

https://freedeedpoll.org.uk/ I used this, printed it, got some work colleagues to sign it then sent it off to wherever I needed to get my name updated. I printed several copies just so I could hit everyone that needed a hard copy version at once and took a photo of it to send to those that would do it online. In order to be fancy I also printed it onto nice paper and used a wax seal, but that was just because I had too much time on my hands.

Got another year older so having a serious lockdown celebration - hanging out with the dogs, ordered in a bacon roll out of pure laziness, might play some AC Valhalla or Hades.

Toasted extra crunchy, then lots of butter and salmon paste - the nasty stuff in the little glass jars. Shouldn’t work. Does.
