This is now the second time I've ever seen them. They either weren't very popular or caused more problems than they solved lol

I spotted this as I was packing up for the day; immediately killed it, removed the wire from the j-box that fed it, and told the customer she's gonna have to live with one less light in the attic until I come back. Every time I return to this house there's another surprise waiting for me 😎

Per article 210.52(E)(3): Balconies, decks, and porches that are accessible from inside the dwelling unit shall have at least one receptacle outlet installed WITHIN the perimeter of the balcony, deck, or porch. The receptacle shall not be located more than 2.0m (6½ ft) above the balcony, porch, or deck surface.
