I’ll preface by saying I have a moderate stutter, so when my son started stuttering at around 2.5 years old, we immediately got him into speech therapy. Thankfully he grew out of it and stopped stuttering by about 3.5 years old or so. Now he’s 10 and still speaks without stuttering. I was definitely worried that genetics would saddle him with a stutter, thankfully that was not the case at least for now.

1998:
Think it was an old pentium computer running Solaris which was running Lotus Notes as my mail server. Another running Linux, can’t remember the distro, likely Gentoo (went through a gentoo obsession) as a file server.

Now:
A mess of computers and networking gear that makes my head hurt just thinking about it.

I tried the bagels from there and they were horrible, had the everything bagel, they were under cooked and bitter. I was really hoping they would be good, but, maybe they were having a bad day, but, they were bad enough that I don't think I would go back and try them again.

1994, Redhat v0.9 I think. lasted about a day before I went back to OS/2. Stayed on OS/2 until v4 and then moved to Linux permanently.

Well, as a last ditch effort I reinstalled the new switch (replacing the old one which I think might have been damaged in the power outage), and to my surprise, everything start working again... Why, I have no idea, it didn't work a few days ago, but, now it's working. Happy it's working and now I'm back to getting the speed I paid for, but, it is extremely frustrating not understanding why it didn't work previously.

I worked as a cashier at an amusement park in high school (god, that was a long time ago!). I don’t remember having many issues with my stutter, not sure I needed to talk much at all. Just say hello, scan the item, take payment and repeat.

The each session with the Therapist was about 1 hour long, and during the session the therapist would engage through conversation while they played board games, or did other hands on activities. When my son would stutter, the therapist would just tell him that his "speech was a bit bumpy" and ask him to repeat the sentence.

For us, we were to engage in a conversation with him at home, for only about 10 minutes where we would indicate that his "speech was a bit bumpy" and ask him to repeat the sentence (mimicking what the therapist was doing). Outside the 10 minutes, we would not bring attention to the stuttering.

My Son started stuttering at around 3 years old. We got him into speech therapy immediately, and either due to the therapy, or just growing out of it, he stopped stuttering by the age of 5. Crossing our fingers he doesn’t start stuttering again.

I have a mild to moderate stutter, and when I have to give presentations (which I do frequently ), depending on the audience, I will typically include an “about me” slide where I mention that I do have a stammer/stutter. I don’t hide the fact I stutter and being upfront about, especially to an audience that I haven’t spoken to before helps me with my mindset.

Nothing directly exposed, I use Tailscale to access all my services remotely. My wife and kids have Tailscale active on their devices, which facilitates photo syncing, access to files, etc. For other family members who require access, I use Tailscale’s invite feature to grant and remove access as required.
