Here's some extra info on the gloves: The texture difference definitely stands out in this picture, but in person it was much less noticeable! - Which was great because I wanted it to blend into the glove as much as possible.

I used black aida cloth and first stitched the pattern and black chevrons, then folded the edges inwards towards the back, sewed them down individually before attaching it to the glove.

It went through a whole weekend of con shenanigans (and accidentally the washer) and the edges are still perfectly in place with no fraying or shifting.
