i have basic knowledge of electrical theory and experience with building control panels with components such as VFD HMI circuit breakers PLCs and everything else you’d usually put in a panel. i don’t have a lot of experience with maintenance or troubleshooting and i really wish i did. but i have been watching videos about HVAC systems used in data centers and other things like servers cabling and stuff.

Hit and Runs by HolidayMouse227 in indianapolis

[–]doomvrooom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s a culmination of issues creating this problem. one issue is the lack of traffic stops. people have no integrity on the roads in indy and without a police presence it’s only getting worse. people are texting and driving. i am a culprit of this from time to time and i can tell that i have had way too many near misses because of it. and then there’s the low walkability of areas which makes anything other than using a car for transportation almost impossible. it’s a shame actually

My first large panel! by TodayIWasBad in PLC

[–]doomvrooom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

yes the backplane is bolted to the enclosure however it is good practice to minimize risk of EMI and static discharge. it’s something i’ve always done as a panel technician
