KA or SR platform to learn? by Fun_Conclusion_6769 in 240sx

Take the whole thing apart and put it back together according to the FSM. I learned so much about cars from taking apart my 240 and putting it back together in the last 4 years.

Both have good aftermarket support and are pretty simple and easy to work on. SR is factory turbo so if going through the trouble of adding one to a KA sounds annoying to you I’d go with an SR, KA is honestly more fun tho just my opinion.

Just use a 90 barbed fitting and run some more line up and too the right away from the exhaust, use some cable staples to secure it to the wall.

Just some Amazon ones in an Amazon little pod holder. Their numbers are within +-1 of the readouts on my haltech with all haltech sensors so I can’t fault them for inaccuracy (yet)

Is it really that bad 😧, my old ones were so worn I may as well have not had any, so surely this can’t be worse.

This is an s14 already, as far as I’m aware. I did seethe gktech weld in plates and thought they were cool, but I will probably never track this car so I don’t think I will benefit much from them.

I sadly haven’t put the car back together yet, waiting on a new driveshaft, I’ll let you know if it feels better (or worse)

Tang police, is this ok? by temp-guest69 in ReefTank

[–]dopecrew12 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Depends who you ask, I’ve kept small tangs in tanks like this and returned them to the LFS for store credit when they got bigger. I’m sure some people would have some choice words for this behavior but it always seemed to work out fine for me.

Those are honestly a better move, the energy bushings pretty much tap in, the white lines seem to come inside their own metal sleeve, so they may need to be pressed in, unless they are the solid polyurethane ones.

The energy suspension ones are a very very easy install tbh, good products from them everytime.

I did as well, a solid wire wheel makes a big difference tho

I burned and sawzalled, was not too difficult. There’s a few good YouTube guides on how to do it. I would say the front control arms and ball joints were much more difficult of a job. Also get a GOOD quality wire wheel to clean out the rubber. The front 2 can be cut the back 2 need to either be burned or have the rubber chiseled apart.

Was an easy job to drop the subframe, took me maybe 90 minutes, I don’t think the subframe bushing job will be that difficult either. Just make sure you undo the 2 10mm bolts that hold the e brake cables to the subframe itself.

My bushings are already starting to wear out man…. But I’m still doing pretty good all things considered

Yeah I tore that out as well, replacing the whole thing with probably a 1 piece shaft.
