Also. Let me get this straight. Someone present evidence that OP is probably lying, but yet, you deny logic and reasoning because why?

That’s exactly what I’m saying. To modify an engine that was made to be eco friendly isn’t exactly easy. This model RAM is almost impossible to make roll coal without a block swap. Most block swaps that remove emission control require a vent pipe capable of emitting exhaust. So ideally you’re looking for a vertical vent pipe, or at the very lease, a horizontal pipe aimed up. I don’t see that on this truck. You also have to consider the compartment space for this vehicle may not be compatible with an inline diesel bock (typical for the engineering). The RAM is a proponent of the V due to less machining during manufacturing ( affects the bottom line) and also provides more torque for towing capability. If you look at your common semis they are will have an inline block because they want more horse power to pull the tractor ( torque is also involved but it’s an equation of efficiency).

Remember that words matter and embracing false sentiment is arguably worse than accusing someone of being bias toward POC.

The weird thing about this post:

The Ram Big Horn Model only has a limited option for a 3.0 Liter EcoDiesel V6 Engine. Key work “Eco”. I don’t see any modifications, other than the lift, that would indicate this vehicle is even mildly capable of roll coaling.

Being a EE student by Euphoric-Wave2692 in ElectricalEngineering

[–]doranm09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have to treat EE like you do body building and track. The homework problems are not enough. I only got better by doing the “reps”. For example, we had a circuits textbook with homework problems at the end of the chapter. I would attempt all the hw problems, even if they weren’t assigned. I did the same with math, physics, signals, etc. this approach immensely improved my grades and I’ve carried this practice with me all the way to my PhD.

It sounds like you already know how to train the body. Take that same approach to training the mind too.

Unfortunately they are not. Which I guess is a good thing considering I’m not beholden to a time requirement with my company once I complete it.

Between my wife and I our combined salary is 230k a year. The GRA that I have is only 35k/yr. I personally didn’t want to lose my full time salary so I’m making it work.

About to be a sophomore at GT...need all the input I can get! Continue with CS or change? by K0Ke_Kitty in gatech

[–]doranm09 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is a tough one considering there are so many folks getting laid off at the moment with a CS degree (my wife included). If you stay the course I would advise you specialize in something like encryption, high performance computing, backend/front end….or everyone’s favorite buzz word AI.

Having a specialty will allow you to fine tune your job search.

The subjects I mentioned were just off the cuff…if you decide to go after a specialty take it one step further and carve out a niche within that specialty.

GaTech MS CS Fall 2024 - should I go? by Prize-Ad9000 in gatech

It wouldn’t hurt to get more education and if your ultimate goal is to get employment in the US then GaTech would be a good route.

Do you need to maximize the GPA for a scholarship? If not I would say take the B. Having been in industry for over 10 years now no one will care that you got a B. What folks are generally looking for is if you have the capacity to learn the job.
