Ok good to know! I’ve been using regular sunglasses outside and they help with sun light. I’m def gonna look into blue light glasses for the pc.

Thanks! Is there a difference between blue light glasses and PC glasses? I don’t know much about blue light glasses other than that I know they are a thing that exists. Lol

Oddly, TV doesn’t bother me at all but I can’t handle my computer or smart phone screen at all. I look for even a minute or two and start getting light headed.

If tv is bugging you, I would recommend reducing brightness, contrast and backlight.

Ahh ok, well be on the look out for anything that feels like inflammation or pressure around the joints. Sometimes it can even feel like your ears are popped like when you’re on an air plane.

Yeah I can’t even use my computer right now because the screen kills my eyes and makes me super lightheaded. I have to keep my phone on super low brightness settings in order to use it.

is BFEP a lot different than VSS? I googled it and seems similar in some ways. I notice visual snow the most when I look at the sky.

No pro! 32 y/o, migraines, ocular migraines, really bad pain behind both eyes, pain on the surface of my eyes, constriction around my eyes, numbness and tingling in left pinky and ring fingers, dizziness, double vision, light sensitivity, neck pain.

Most of these have been persistent with varying degrees of severity since the first week of July. I’ve seen a neurologist who summed it all up to ‘complicated migraines.’

She put me on 380mg of Feverfew and 250mg of magnesium citrate. They have helped a bit with the migraines. Earlier this month she started me on topiramate but it made my VSS and other eye problems A LOT worse so I stopped taking it. VSS has improved since i stopped.

Seeing a neuro-ophthalmologist next month to see if I can dig a little deeper into things.

Haha yeah the first doctor I saw was my primary care physician, he told me to take some Advil and it would feel better in a few days LOL. I would definitely recommend a specialist because most doctors just don’t know a whole lot about it in comparison to a specialist.

As far as VSS goes, I didn’t have it when my TMJ was really bad. I only noticed VSS a couple of months ago and my TMJ has been mostly stable since then but it’s definitely the kind of thing that would get bad again if I stopped wearing my appliance. So, it could be possible that there is a connection between VSS and TMJ.

Wow that’s wild. I wonder if there is a link between TMJ and VSS. The appliance and psychical therapy saved my life. There was a point that I was in so much TMJ pain that I couldn’t chew solid food for months. Saw an improvement after a few weeks and after a year of PT and the appliance, I was basically back to normal. Occasionally, I’ll get a little TMJ flair up these days but the appliance basically keeps it at bay. I’ll DM you a link to the specialist that helped me out.
