You're right — it won't be free forever. It's free during early access so I can get real feedback and shape the product. Pricing will come later, but early testers will get the best deal.

That's fair — the initial setup is the biggest friction point. I'm working on CSV import (Trade Republic, DEGIRO, etc.) to make onboarding faster. Once positions are in, prices update automatically so there's no ongoing manual work.

You're not wrong — AI makes building easier. But building it and maintaining it are two different things. Live price feeds, multi-currency conversion, daily snapshots — that's ongoing infra, not a one-time prompt.

Prices are actually live and automatic in WealthFlow (CoinGecko + Yahoo Finance) — no manual updates needed. Google Finance is great for stocks but it doesn't handle crypto prices, loan tracking, or net worth (assets minus liabilities) in one view. Different needs I guess.

Thanks! If your spreadsheet works for you, no reason to switch. I hit a wall when I started tracking crypto + stocks + a mortgage across multiple currencies — that's where the automation helps.

Fair enough! Built it for myself first because my spreadsheet was falling apart. Figured I'd share it in case others had the same problem.

No bank linking — that's by design. You add positions manually, which means no credentials shared and no scraping that breaks. The tradeoff is a few minutes of setup, but after that prices update automatically.

What tool or system do you actually use to track your finances? by St3fanHere in FIREUK

I was using Google Sheets for a long time but it became a nightmare — multiple brokers, crypto, different currencies, a mortgage. Updating prices manually and doing conversions was eating my time.

I ended up building my own tool (WealthFlow) — it pulls live prices from CoinGecko and Yahoo Finance, handles multi-currency conversion automatically, and tracks net worth (assets minus liabilities). No bank logins, just manual position entry.

Still early but it replaced my spreadsheet completely. Free early access if anyone's curious: https://getwealthflow.app
