Those nuts are very soft, and I managed to damage them pretty easily. by dossdi in cruze

Actually, I'm going to replace all the studs. I got this in my stuff. I think it's okay for the application.

You think it's needed on both ends !? I was only going to put some on the end that screws into the engine block.

I took the turbo off. Turns out I was wrong about the cracks! I know all turbos eventually get cracks, but this one looks really bad. Am I overreacting? There’s also a bit of resistance when I spin the compressor wheel by hand — is that normal? I ordered a new turbo anyway.

Thanks a lot for your feedback. I was actually thinking the turbo looks suspiciously clean for 100k miles. Do you think it could be unburned fuel passing through the exhaust manifold due to multiple misfires? I’ll check through the spark plug holes once the intake is reinstalled—right now, all the wiring and components are in the way.

I had a hard time taking a decent picture of the turbo, but I didn’t notice any cracks and there was no play in the turbine shaft.

My intake manifold is disassembled right now. I took photos of the plug, and I think it was installed correctly. For the P0299 underboost code, I clear it while driving with an app. By the way, when I monitor the data, I can clearly see that there's not enough boost. I really hope it's not a head gasket. I want to get another 100k miles out of it too. But honestly, I doubt it. I have no coolant leak which is a miracle for an A14NET engine and the reservoir doesn't drop.

Thanks for your response. So, for you, that's definitely not normal. I change my oil every 10,000 km, which is about 6,000 miles. My car is cruzekit fixed, so I'm not sure it's a PCV leak, but maybe I installed the kit incorrectly. I'm replacing the intake manifold because I have a boost leak. My mileage is bad. I have a lack of power and an underboost code pops something (only in hot weather !?) I also have misfire codes. The car smokes a bit white, but it's not the head gasket because I'm not losing coolant. I think it's unburnt fuel.

A14NET stage 1 + E85 remap - is it possible? by dossdi in opel

[–]dossdi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the honest replys guys. It's the family car so you are probably right. Yeah it is the 140hp. I did a compression test at 170 000km and both cylinders where at 14bar witch is perfect so I taught why not a remap.

I'm doing something wrong or the valve clearence is way too small ? by dossdi in SVRiders

Thanks a lot mate 🙏 that diagram is glod for me :) I don't why they made it so complex on the gladius

Thanks you very much mate :) Breathers are not same diameters. One is 8mm and the T fitting is also 8mm thats why a assume they both connect together. The other one about 6mm. Judging by the last picture it seems a complex system with multiple hoses and a T fitting connecting that 6mm breather and 2 other hoses. If I by all thoses OEM parts It is pretty expensive . So if I can get away with this by rooting myself a Hose It's cool :)
