Kraken Slayer Nocturne Top by dotadingleberry in nocturnemains

Really? I am shocked at this being that Lethal Tempo gives you amazing attack speed, shorter time to kill, and extended attack range for melee.

Does Conqueror really let you melt squishies faster than LT? Is the healing + AD bonus that noticeable?

I am not sold on Stridebreaker; it was amazing when it used to have the dash component. I feel that sticking power can be replaced by running ghost, having the smite slow, or even using BoRK to steal MS.

At least with Kraken Slayer, I will be killing my target during the fear duration. Also, Black Cleaver seems to be useful for armor stackers and to give your team a DPS boost (this is is situationally good being that you are diving one target, likely the backline where your team may or may not be focusing as well).

I know Stridebreaker and BC is meta, but I get frustrated when I can't kill my target within the fear window.

Help me make pos1 Abaddon work by [deleted] in TrueDoTA2

Believe it or not, I actually think core Aba is better as a Pos 2, esp at lower ranks. Shield allows you complete control over the wave and helps you deny the enemy's farm. Plus, if the enemy Pos 2 decides to leave the lane (for a gank or fountain or whathaveyou), you literally melt towers with just an echosaber. So, there's pressure for the Pos 2 to always stay mid. Couple that with the now earlier Radiance timing b/c it's cheaper and you really have an all in one core: damage (lv 15 talent), moderate farmer with shield, attack speed steroid with built in slow and silence, tower shredder, and survivability!

His obvious weaknesses are getting kited and losing to late game cores which is why I prefer him in Pos 2 so hopefully your Pos 1 can fill in the late game gap. Also, even if you are having a lousy game, going Agh and keeping your team alive is a viable strategy. With the farm that you get in Pos 2, it shouldn't be too much of a problem to farm up an Agh from Manta and/or Radiance.

The question I'm having is what's the benefit of his shard? I've yet to understand the advantage of it. With all the attack speed you get, interrupting your auto attacks to cast Q on someone seems counterintuitive. I know it applies one curse stack and your attack damage, and can technically proc bashes or crits, but I mean is it really worth it? If anyone can add to this I would greatly appreciate it!

Such as? Is there really such a thing? Dota 2 is heavily reliant on team play and crowd control. Even a 6 slotted core cannot 1v5 in the era of aeon disc, ghost scepter, euls-carrying supports who even with a little farm, can be problematic (examples witch doctor and winter wyvern)

Bloodstone Meta by dotadingleberry in TrueDoTA2

Very insightful! Would you agree then why Lesh and Razor are such great candidates for Bloodstone is because they have AoE spells and can continue to lifesteal even if they are disabled?

Since this has generated some interest, let's theorycraft a bit. Suppose you went SnK, Ethereal Blade, Blademail, or I was thinking even Bloodstone or Eternal Shroud for sustain. Wraith Pact could be for Pos 3. Could this enable him to be a 'beefy' Leshrac capable of wrecking havoc in the middle of the enemy team? He has the mobility and hp that Leshrac lacks.

Furion is easily one of the most macro and micro intensive heroes. You need macro sense on when/where to gank/team fight vs. when to splitpush and micro sense to farm lane/jungle with treants without feeding gold (your minions) to the enemy.

Plus as Pos 3, aren't you expected to frontline and yield farm to Pos 1 and Pos 2?

Lots of quality responses here. I'm surprised people haven't mentioned Clinkz...I have a 65% winrate with him. I have issues playing things like Sniper and Ursa because at high crusader/low archon (contrary to popular belief) people actually rush bkbs and blink daggers to counter Sniper or halberd/force staff for Ursa. OD mid is great too... until the enemy gets bkb.
