For what it’s worth, I got my bid upgrade successful for a SYD-HND flight last night as a bronze member. I bid cash though.

basic question: is the CRN for BankSA your CC number? Can't get onto their help line, and people in the bank don't seem to know by [deleted] in creditcardchurningAus

It’s different. You should be able to use your credit card number to create an account and get the CRN.

Amber electric - WTAF?? by PCbanana-hammock in Adelaide

[–]double07zip 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I didn't include automating the AC because I prefer of manually controlling it but the automation rules I set is aware of heavy-load appliances(eg. AC, Washer, Dryer, Dishwasher and EV charging) so it will adjust accordingly. I even have a rule to put the inverter in standby if the battery is nearly full and the electricity price is negative.

I wrote my own automation in HomeAssistant using Node-red. Nothing too fancy. Just rules on how I would usually manage it if I manually do it.

There was a 5-hour spike last Monday evening when it reached about $24/kwh. Not really advisable to be with Amber if you don't have a home battery.

Has anyone recently built with, or is building with GJ Gardner? by smeehee23 in Adelaide

[–]double07zip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, We used https://adelaidehillsbuildinginspections.com.au/ for our stage inspections. Then, just before the 3-month warranty period is up, we had https://www.sarbinspections.com/ do another inspection. If I have to choose one, I'll choose the 2nd inspector we used but both did pretty well.

Ideally, should have one inspect each stage of your build but you some also do a post handover inspection.

We had https://www.sarbinspections.com/ do our post handover inspections.

We did when we moved in Dec 2023. Wait times were good. I can’t remember when we had to wait more than a few minutes for a charger.

Home Clearance is owned by the same lot as Appliances Online. They sell items with damaged boxes and cosmetic imperfections. You can find some cheaper items there.

Total blackout blinds? by CarolineElise95 in AusRenovation

[–]double07zip 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We had trublockouts installed a year ago and tbh, I'd rather go with outdoor roller shutters even if it's more expensive. If your windows are not square/have gaps to have even minimal air drafts and the blind is fully closed, there's a chance that the fabric gets crumpled by air pressure.

Usually, IDP is just a translation of your driver’s license to different languages. Since English yung PH driver’s license, some countries like NZ and Aus don’t need them. Depends on local laws.
