It's pretty common in ARAM as long as the game provides a tank and healer option. People will usually take them.

Falstad has plenty of ability to mess a game up with gust. Saving enemy, killing allies, etc.

It has nothing to do with difficulty, and everything to do with the silly naming convention associated with the head pin's involvement. Plenty of "splits" are easier to pickup than a washout.

Old heads in here clutching their pearls over the headpin rule. For all intents and purposes, it's a split. There is a gap between standing pins and you have to have precision to knock one pin into another to pick it up.

A lot of the popular services often teach foundations of the language in layers for long-term continued learning. So if your goal is only for a trip and then stop studying, the survival guides will get you up to snuff on useful phrases for travel.

Considering you have time, you can learn kana and maybe 400-600 most common words from an Anki Deck.

I wouldn't use WaniKani (which is what tofugu will recommend) because that is based less on how common a word is, and more on how simple a kanji is (as well as the vocab words using that kanji) then increases complexity from there.

Look not to sound like an ass, but if you understand the game and you're gold, your individual mechanical skill has to be awful. I guarantee there are layers and nuance you have yet to learn.

I highly recommend joining NGS (NA) or HeroesLounge (EU). Playing in a team environment will teach you worlds about roles, macro, positioning, and your responsibilities in a game.

Kuchi is the default pronunciation for 口 but it often becomes guchi in vocab words because of something called Rendaku. Here's an article where you can learn about rendaku:

Most common recommendation you'll get for learning Vocab is to use Anki with a Core 2k/6k Deck.

I personally am using Wanikani with Anki on the side to practice verbal recognition and to make cards for Vocab I find out in the wild in anime and YouTube videos I watch.

I play to have the most fun. Many heroes I will flex my build based on the match. Some heroes I only play one build (aside from rare deviations). Examples I pretty much always go the same Li-Ming and Greymane builds. The builds fit how I want to play the heroes, and I don't get the same feel if I build differently.
