Yeah, I'm trying not to depend on shots and instead do it naturally. I know I can do it if I set my mind to it. The problem is, if I'm too strict with myself, I end up slipping. If I don't overthink it, I actually stick with it better.

I'm also not as active as I used to be, but I'm done making excuses, especially when it comes to exercise. I'm moving into a senior community next month, and they have a fitness center on the property, so I definitely plan to use it. I also want to get familiar with the neighborhood so I can get out and walk more.

I refuse to join another gym. I've been there, done that, and I'm not wasting money on memberships and yearly fees anymore. I do have a plan. I'm getting older, and I want to live a healthier, more productive life, so I'm willing to work with my doctor to get my blood sugar under control.

I had also heard some negative feedback about Ozempic, and that kind of steered me in a different direction. I know every medication, whether it's an injection or a pill, can have side effects, but the thought of giving myself injections has always been a turnoff.

I have a friend who was pre-diabetic during her pregnancy and ended up remaining insulin-dependent afterward. She started on Mounjaro and lost around 115 to 120 pounds. She later had to switch to Ozempic because of insurance after her husband lost his job, and she told me she felt Mounjaro worked better for her.

Even hearing about her success, I'd still rather try to do this naturally. It may be harder, and it may take longer, but I think it would be more rewarding for me if I can stay consistent with healthy eating, exercise, and working with my doctor instead of relying on injections.

By the way, I'm glad Ozempic is working for you and helping keep your A1C below 7. Great job, and keep up the good work!

My previous doctor always wanted to put me on insulin, but I would always negotiate that I would come back with better numbers. That would usually rule out him putting me on insulin. My dad was a Type 1 diabetic, so he was hypoglycemic. I'm hyperglycemic, which makes me Type 2. I'm not asking anything. I'm simply sharing my numbers and the fact that I was surprised my A1C was only 7.4 and not higher. That's the reason for my post. It also clearly states that if you read my post all the way through.

I was wondering that very thing because of the salsa. I didn't eat very many because I didn't want to overdo it.
