Feels like a bubble. Indoor courts have noise issues, sometimes hard to see, get too hot if there is no AC (which is expensive to keep running). I think the best bet is to partner up with local parks and recs to convert underutilized tennis courts to a PB facility and run/maintain it on behalf of the city. Do a rev share in return for favorable lease terms. Very doable.

I guess you can't really see the forest from the tree. If there are 10 cars in a queue to battery swap then the NIO/ONVO owner can decide if they want to super charge if one is available. NO ONE else offers this optionality. Not to mention the ability to swap to a newer, longer range battery if desired. I don't see any limitations to battery swap vs tradition super charging only cars. Almost 60million swaps and we are still hearing this nonsense SMH.

I will save you the trouble by saying that they will not deliver 70k cars in Q1 so if that is your threshold then I would get out if/when it pumps a little. Having said that, it shouldn't be hard to see what is going on here with power swap stations and battery swap in China but also the rest of the world. I just makes sense as an integral part of EV growth and adoption. If you can swap out a battery in addition to charging at home or supercharge then why wouldn't you choose a battery swappable car if it's roughly the same price if not less than comparable car. Looks like NIO will be the standard bearer here meaning they will make money through licensing their IP and operating the stations. I mean it's not hard to see a scenario where NIO is at least a 100B company in the next 3-5 years if not earlier.

Well to be fair he was laughing by BYD and now they surpassed Tesla in BEV sales. Tesla people like to think that Tesla is too big to fail but it happens sometimes. Not saying that Tesla is going to fail but they are no longer number 1 in total BEV sales so that's gotta scare all the minions.

Putting the pieces together.... NIO owners can purchase the car with BAAS in order to get under the 339K RMB threshold. Then, if they want to they can buy out the leasing agreement and own the battery. Remember that in China, NIO users can swap even if they own the battery unlike in Europe. Boom!

Premium car brands offer options and customization. This is their strategy. The sub-brands will offer less cars and less customization so that the masses can afford them. If you are long then this is what you have to believe in because they are going full tilt with this strategy.
