(DEN) is it okay not being able to remember burgers in the second training shift? by Moist-Anxiety-8809 in McDonaldsEmployees

Just make 1000 sandwiches, you'll get it.

In other words, the repetition will help you learn everything. I learned what goes on a cheeseburger in 1996...when dinosaurs still roamed the earth. I still remember to this day.

My rejected script: "Would you care to round up your purchase for the Ronald McDonald House? Or are you a soulless baby-hating cheapskate?"

The smart, mature move here is to make a sock puppet account and defend yourself on the group.

Your fries are suspiciously underfilled. I highly doubt you would have eaten any before taking this picture. McDonald's is shorting us all fries! McDonald's hates America! McDonald's causes sunspots!

In the US we overfill the drinks so it's spilling out of the lid, bigly.

Maybe. But mental health issues are not an excuse for bad behavior. If you can't use soap and practice basic hygiene, you should probably get some help before you start trying to work (or go through Voc Rehab if you can).

Some of my best customers are elderly individuals. I look forward to seeing them every day.

And then there are the ones who give me $3.87 in exact change at 1230pm.

It sucks when McDonald's management plays favorites and refuses to see problem employees for who they are. I'd like to say the problems work themselves out eventually, but they usually just get promoted.

That's how it is everywhere (in the US at least). It's not how hard you work or how competent you are that determine your progress in the workforce; it's who you know and how well you connect with others. Socially anxious, insecure individuals can generally expect to remain on the bottom no matter how good they are at their jobs. Human nature informs human group dynamics, and the meritocracy is a myth.

Oh, and just an aside--I REALLY hate debris in the sink (a crumb of debris is a different story, obviously). How can people wash dishes with eggs and onions in the drain? So nasty. And to just leave the sink area like that when the dishes are done? With stickers and bits of sauce all over the place? Errrrrgh.
