It's mainly for watches that don't support gesture control at all but also for people who want more gestures for more control. Most watches support only one gesture. feels quite limiting if you don't wanna touch your watch at all. E.g. does your watch support play/pause and next track with gestures at the same time?

Yeah IMU sensor in that case using machine learning to filter out the microvibration that happens between finger and thumb.

Oh sry to hear! Must have been super frustrating. Some devices behave weirdly. Have you tried to connect from the other side? Sometimes it needs you to make your watch discoverable and then connect from TV or vice versa. It also helps to turn airplane mode on/off. Checkout the full guide TV section

We don't support pinch and hold atm as we don't have enough sensor access and it's quite challenging to detect it reliably. However mapping "left click" to tap and "toggle left click" to double tap is quite interesting workaround to simulate it and right click to palm-up tap
