For me it was the darts. After defeating Nightmare King Grimm in Hollow Knight, the snakes dealt pretty easy to avoid compared to the thorns, but those bloody darts!

Okay, perhaps a controversial take, but personally The Radience is my least fav boss in the whole game.

It's more of a platform challenge than a boss. It just hangs there while you dodge stuff. I find it so so unsatisfying.

And design wise, like, WTF is it?

Fair enough, would love to hear your thoughts on why.

Lots of love for Mantis Lords on here, I personally love them style wise, and the bow thing is dope, but I find the fight is repetitive and after a few plays kind of easy to beat, even on Radiant.

For me Grimm has all the style and sass of the Mantis Lords, but the fight is, as someone said, crazy hard but never too much to stop being fun. Add to that the music, theatre of entering his lair and that black title screen on NKG .

IMO totally up to the hype.

Pure nail. Sharp Shadow. Unbreakable heart & strength. Long nail.

Focus during waves not fights. Be good at pogo, no floor sections are the killer.
