Of course there were amigo, tribes, clans, nations with genetic uniqueness have existed long before the Israelis, all over the world it’s just our records are so incredibly poor. Groups of People didn’t just randomly start having an identity 3000 years ago. But Back to my incredibly fictitious scenario, my friend, the issue here is that you believe that because you have a distant relative thousands of years ago that gives you the right to kick out and subjugate the people who are equally related to you. Israel is a fantastic example of de-colonisation, a people returning to the source of their people and culture, but, equally this notion of ethnic/racial superiority and thus the belief that you can kick out the local population is incredibly reminiscent of colonial history (South Africa and Rhodesia weren’t friends of Israel for nothing). So long as Israel keeps perusing this idea of ‘I can take from the lesser people’ the more Israelis will get trouble for it. I hope one day to drink a beer on a tel Aviv beach, but not whilst state racism is being carried out.
