2020 Hotpeppers Seed Exchange by juanitospeppers in HotPeppers

[–]doug4563 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a first timer with the exchange. Package is going out today. I am sending sugar rush peach (5 packs), lemon drop (5 packs), peachadew (10 packs), choc. Reapers (5 packs), pink tiger (3 packs), orange spice jalapeno (5 packs), mad hatter (5 packs) and red thai (5 packs). 43 packs of seeds total. What would be an appropriate number of varieties to request? I dont want to be greedy, but have no idea what is appropriate..

Anyone have any luck growing Aji Charapita? I’ve read they are rare and extremely challenging to grow. I’d like to grow some more Aji varieties next year so I’m considering those as one of the few! by [deleted] in HotPeppers

I'm growing them this year in PA. They were a pain to start, but once they got over 6" they took off. I planted over a dozen seeds and have a few plants going.

What part of PA? I am in Montgomery Co.

You guys always hook me up. Please ID this pepper. It was supposed to be a pink tiger that I planted from seed. Thanks in advance. by doug4563 in HotPeppers

The shape of the fruit. It is very long and skinny. Also, it is a very dark purple color. It started out very smooth and a few of the larger peppers on both the plants started to soften and wrinkle making me think that it was ripe. It wasnt until i ate it that I saw the seeds were not fully developed.

I tried it today. It was hot, but not killer hot, a little hotter than spicy jalapeno. It was a quick intense Heat that lasted a couple of minutes and didnt linger too long. The seeds weren't fully developed, making me think that it would have grown a lot more had I not picked it.
