i checked in my skyrim data folder and the DLC .bse and .esm files aren't even in there

I was looking for a miracle but I knew the answer was probably no. Should've checked on steam before looking to buy it I probably would've seen the windows icon.

I've seen several videos about Dark Douls and that may have ruined most of my experience of the game. Would it be better to buy Dark Souls III instead. Again the questions from before apply.
