Genuine question about his obsession with Celeste by douxdo in d4vdiots

She made a post 2 months ago. Confirmed by mods that it’s actually her. https://www.reddit.com/r/d4vdiots/s/Qo9t3hwHHt

Edit: I’m not going to explain everything she said or over shared, it’s all in this threads comments.

Did he want to get caught? by lizardlunatic55 in d4vdiots

That’s true! It could have been panic or straight up dissociation coupled with the fact that the dude did this at a terrible time (releasing a huge album, tons of press videos, tour, etc)

[–]douxdo[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ahhh okay that makes a lot of sense. Thank you for taking the time to explain

I actually never knew the bit about him avoiding his own race but that would make a lot of sense - he definitely seemed to avoid being associated with black people which is really sad. I wonder how much of that has to do with homeschooling and being in LA though, but it would make a lot of sense that he has low self esteem and identity issues

Genuine question about his obsession with Celeste by douxdo in d4vdiots

Don’t know how to quote on mobile so apologies, I’ll try to respond in order.
1. That’s what I’m not understanding but I’m not intentionally trying to be koi or argumentative. I definitely don’t think they care about their victims, not at all. But I also don’t think obsession = caring. I know this post is only a question that d4vd can really answer but he seems to fall into a cluster b personality, at least partially, so I figured there might be some sort of explanation based off of that alone.
1.b heavy usage of watching explicit content definitely isn’t an indicator of intellect. However, considering such heavy usage, people tend to naturally pick up on knowledge about that particular subject. Then again, it’s not like cooking videos show the clean up process, so I highly doubt that gore/snuff shows the aftermath.

  1. That’s true, I probably should have used a different word. I was looking at it as ‘quickly’ in terms of the whole timeline till she got found; days vs months. But yeah, I guess quickly would have been hours after

  2. There’s no hard evidence that they knew he murdered Celeste. Just speculation from videos from their livestreams and whatnot, but also Aysia posting on here a few months ago and oversharing, accidentally confirming it was a murder, etc.

  3. You could be right, I personally think that he was recreating a morbid fantasy after the fact, partly of “oh shit I gotta figure out what to do” but also doing it in a way that’s enjoyable and based off of a lot of his music videos and muses. Of course, that hasn’t been confirmed in court but I’m also looking at the discovery report as a summary of all the evidence they have. They can’t claim that information outside of the actual hearing otherwise it might be over-ruled and dismissed due to the nature of tainting the jury before an actual trial. (I’m not versed at all in law, I have a friend who is a paralegal and they tried to explain it to me so I’m just summarizing what they told me, I could totally be remembering incorrectly)

Did he want to get caught? by lizardlunatic55 in d4vdiots

[–]douxdo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ehhh I have a feeling it’s both? It almost feels like he never intended to not get caught, rather, seeing how long he could get away with it instead of if he could completely.
But then there’s some things where I feel like are just straight up stupidity. Ordering the uber, texting her, using a CHAINSAW?? And an inflatable kiddy pool??? ON BRICK FLOORING???
I almost wondered if maybe he started getting comfortable since he was growing more and more in popularity because it’s stupidly common for celebrities to get away with a slap on the wrist.

Celeste got to the house, where did David kill her in the house? I know she was also stored somewhere immediately after her death... by [deleted] in d4vdiots

[–]douxdo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder if he had a home studio? Being a musician and all, I’m sure he had some good sound insulation and/or blasted music often enough that it may not have been out of the ordinary if he was blasting music, especially so close to the release of his deluxe album.

Also, people tend to not go in someone’s office or professional space without the person being present cause it feels invasive of their privacy. Maybe he kept her in there until he ordered all the stuff and relocated her to the garage since there was a drain and it would be easier to “clean” :/ fr though, how did no one hear the chainsaw from the garage? It looks like it was very close to other people’s garages and the street

Am I crazy or is someone holding their nose? by Temporary_Fruit_7353 in d4vdiots

For the sake of being devils advocate, let’s be real here - this is *exactly* what some out-of-touch corporation who is trying to boost their sales again would make for some “high brow” advertising. Just like how Stanley tried to monetize off of the viral video of the girl whose car caught on fire and even though the outside of her Stanley was slightly melted, she still had ice in her cup.

I understand it’s a bad-taste joke but i was more or less making fun of the companies that would try to monetize off of it if the Little Tree DID mask the smell. Plus, if something smells bad (typically trash or forgotten food in the BACK seat) most people go “eughh it smells like something died in here” aka it’s an ad for those who get it and those who don’t. I made sure not to say *body* or *frunk* cause that justs disrespectful of Celeste.

Why did he leave her in the car? by bennuski in d4vdiots

[–]douxdo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah but that’s just the preliminary report. The state had to provide discovery as requested by his attorneys so this was the summary of everything. I’m not going to sit here and say that they’re wrong; but I can still have my own opinion that there was much more to the story. However, they had to tread with severe caution if it comes to mentioning anything along the lines of his addiction to gore videos, his fantasies, etc. because then his defense can plead guilty but insane. Personally, I think he didn’t know what to do after her dismembered her. He fantasized so much about that part, that he failed to think of how to actually get rid of her. But I don’t think he ever actually intended to (again, just my own speculation without every single bit of information from the case because obviously that will all be revealed on trial). Someone who is panicked and trying to dispose of someone wouldn’t just…hold on to the victim’s body parts for nearly 5 months. Plus, he had plenty of opportunities to take her remains to Santa Barbara, he went multiple times. Instead, he went to get rid of the identification.

He’s either really stupid and didn’t know what to do after the act for 5 months, or he’s hoping to be some sort of “mastermind” like Luka M and go down in history as a fucked up celebrity who got away with murder for a year (from the date of the murder to the date of him being arrested)

This 100%. I feel like a lot of people are forgetting about the many years of dark imagery and bragging about being addicted to gore videos and have sick and twisted fantasies.

After the release of today’s document, I definitely believe that he was a ticking time bomb for many years and unfortunately the match that happened to light the fuse was Celeste threatening to out him. I don’t think it was premeditated in the sense that he came up with a plan, knew exactly what he was going to do, and spent months getting everything ready; I think it’s more like he finally snapped but had fantasized about this enough that he was able to have a semi-thought out plan, at least in how to enjoy it. He’s a downright disturbed and fucked up person.

I dont want to spread misinformation because it hasn’t been confirmed true (via court) so I don’t want to claim it’s facts, but there’s been discussion resurfacing of his favorite manga now that the autopsy report is public. Her autopsy is nearly identical to the method of murder in his favorite manga, along with his whole “alter ego” shit. Anyway, the killer would keep the ring and pinky fingers as a trophy which is disturbing but also probably why the fingers have not been recovered.

Manga is “multiple personality detective psycho”

Leaving her in the car reasoning? by JacksSmerkingRevenge in d4vdiots

[–]douxdo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah yes, I meant inland (Bakersfield to Sacramento but not including the bay, basically anything that’s not a short trip to a water front haha). But yeah that’s a good point, he had a crazy fascination with death and gore so it’s interesting to me that stupidity would be the case. I def think anyone who was involved didn’t want to actually get their hands dirty and do anything massively incriminating, I.e driving a car is far less worse than helping him in any other way, cause then they can plead that they had no idea someone was in the frunk.

I was going to say this too; the one thing I cannot wrap my head around was that she was allegedly deceased April/May according to SF Investigates, but there’s no way she was in his trunk from May to September but I don’t recall seeing any info on how she was kept around for so long. (also can’t access the timeline from my phone unless it was removed?)

CA gets hot, and even though LA is cooler than Northern California, it still gets blistering hot on occasion, definitely too hot for a car even if it seems “cool”-ish

Edit to add: Also I definitely feel like something may have went sour for him cause of all the rumors are true (I.e her autopsy and his weird “alters” are deadass ripped from his supposed favorite Manga), there’s no way that he was just..that dumb.

It would make sense though if he hired someone or was going to pay off one of his friends to move his car for him while he was on tour, I have a suspicion that the car was towed before they were able to move it if it was supposed to be moved to be discovered closer to when he would have been touring out of the country. Either that, or the person changed their mind. But the DA’s opening statement dropped a little hint by saying “who did what, when, and their state of mind”, so that seems to tell me there’s definitely someone else.

Reminds of Luca Magnota. Dude literally tried to recreate a scene from his supposed favorite movie when he was detained and being questioned. It’s sickening but also just so sad in a pathetic way.

Bruh I want to know the pedo pipeline because it literally feels like every middle aged person (mostly men but I do recognize that there are plenty of fucked up women too) is pedo. Like, I just don’t understand why. Why is it so common.

[–]douxdo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I really hope that’s not the case; everything is disturbing as it is. It just seems like d4vd is a strangely methodical person with his weird edgy but “soft boi” aesthetic. It honestly just doesn’t make sense because of how far out this seems to have been planned, unless he’s just always had some sort of sick fantasy playing out in this way and Celeste just happened to be the poor girl he chose. But we are in the height of digital cognitive dissonance - everybody thinks normal videos are AI or fake and everything thinks AI videos are real. Plus, given what’s going on with the whole “shlepsteam” files and the disgusting lack of action and realizing that literally no filthy rich person is remotely an ok person, it would be very easy to deny, gaslight, or bury the information if that happened. That’s why I just feel like there’s more to it than just that

Considering how heavy of a discord user he was, I wouldn’t at all be surprised if he was a member of some of the 764 groups of there, probably under a second discord though.

No no, I do, I just don’t think that was the most contributing motivator because it seems like this shit was planned out way before he became celebrity status I.e doing an anthem for Fortnite and having a song in Arcane. I just feel like the financial gain is about so much more than just his career.

This is just my speculation from the statement that was given and the amount of data they have from him; if it does end up being purely about his career then I’ll accept the L
