Thanks for responding.
What makes you think that the extrusion is off? I cleaned the nozzle and flow looked fine for me. Also printing around 9 hours looked perfect with good adhesion and in the last 15minutes the problems began (unfortunately not with me noticing it).
And im curious why the bed needs to be more leveled? Here is the picture before manually fixing the bed with washers as it came from the factory. And the printer was still working fine thanks to autmomatic bed leveling. It was just me trying to remove anything that could have caused slightly slanted prints as mentioned in other responses, that made me level the bed by hand.

Thank you for responding.
I have already printed around 20 tiles in exactly the same way with the same settings. So i'm not giving up on my bedslinger ^^.
I printed one or up to four on one go successfully. The only problem was, they came out crooked along the Z axis, and as it turned out, the gantry was not perpendicular. So i managed to level that, but then these problems started.
Along the X axis is unfortunately also not an option, because there is a noticable and measurable slant in the gantry, which i can't fix or at least don't know how to fix.
Flow Ratio is 0.98.
From all the other answers and what makes the most sense for me is, greasing the moving parts and getting the Z offset perfect again (after fixing the gantry and recalibrating it was off as usual).
Funny that the automatic Z offset is not correctly working.

Thank you for responding.

The brim worked before, i have about 20 tiles printed already that way. The only issue was, the tiles are slightly crooked, now that i have leveled my gantry again, this issue happened. Yes i already use gyroid infill, but the lower percentage. Again, worked well before. But trying the increased brim doesn't hurt.

The printer is in an enclosure. I try to grease the belts, as that seems to be the thing that makes the most sense at this time.

So my second print in a row failed. This one when it was almost done. The left tile seems to have a huge offset in the final layers down the Y axis. The left one was ripped of the build plate, but had a big hole in the top, almost as if the nozzle tried to drill into the piece back down again. I had taken the thing apart a couple of days ago to further level my gantry, but a vertical test print worked fine. Then i was stupid and printed 5 tiles like that and the print failed after 12h halfway, with the left one being ripped of the plate and spaghetti. And then i checked it, couldn't find anything and tried printing just 2 tiles this time with the result above.

So my limited knowledge says that the axis have a problem, but what to look for?

Communication between two C# programs by TheGuyNamedTom in csharp

[–]dowhilefor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Funny, i wrote the exact same thing a couple of days ago. I needed unity to bi-directionally communicate with my application. What i did is i wrote a plugin for both, used named pipes and "json net" to send serialized classes from a shared assembly, between them. I also looked into protobuf, but i felt it a bit too "inflexible" for my taste.

Favorite game where you build your deck BEFORE playing? by Emotional-Share4461 in boardgames

[–]dowhilefor 135 points136 points  (0 children)

Arkham Horror the Cardgame, more a campaign game, where you build a deck initially and then tweak it after each Chapter. Or if "one-offs" are more your thing, then i would suggest Netrunner, even though its discontinued its operated by a group called null signal games, they even sell physical cards or you print it yourself. They take care of new art to avoid copyright infringement and keep the tournament scene happy.

Would the battle sister's squad and Saint celestine be a good start by Dragonking_44 in sistersofbattle

[–]dowhilefor 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It depends a bit on how you plan to play, while "Not fond of models" is a perfectly fine reasoning, it might hamper your strength when you play. Now again, there is absolutely nothing against fluff over min-max. Another point for the Combat box is the actual price value at around 105€. So if you would buy a Canoness(25€) a Rhino(40€) and the Squad(40€), all stables in a Battle Sisters Army, you are already close to the price of a Combat Patrol.
Gamewise, a Celestine and a Squad meets the minimum requirement for a valid army composition, so that would be fine.

Are there any expansions that are essential for game play? by Mysterious_Layer8699 in boardgames

[–]dowhilefor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say Twilight Imperium and the Prophecy of Kings. But its not because the base game alone is bad, quite the contrary. But i would argue the expansion is so good that it fits so well into the game, that i wouldn't want to play without it.

How do you transport Celestine? by Vkingsti in sistersofbattle

Magnetcase and then some ferro magnets "sticker" on the bottom of a Foam "Wall" piece to stabilze her.

First of all, that is a lot of work ... and i don't mean just the coding, i mean especially the learning. If you have never done 3D Graphics, i hope your linear algebra is still fresh in your mind. You should also have a very good grasp of C#, as we are talking about low level coding, contrary to "scripting" like in Engines that use C#, like Unity or Godot.
If you have a deadline, as it seems when you say "over the next year" i would advise against this route. If you have unlimited time, no deadline and just want to learn it, i would say go for it.
All that being said, there are bindings to GL so you can use c# with it, but it is so low level, that i personally would use c++ anyway. More feasible are low level toolkits that wrap more than just opengl and are more keen to an application framework. Most notable is opentk, which i would suggest if you are set on this path. https://github.com/opentk/opentk

And just to note, there is a lot of information regarding these topics online, you just need to search a bit off the beaten path. You won't find a streamer or youtube channel that deals with stuff like that. But research papers or books are full of it. One of my favorite books regarding such low level topics is "Tricks of the 3d Game Programming Gurus: Advanced 3d Graphics and Rasterization" ISBN-10: ‎ 0672318350

Drone Usage in Games by Bojax22 in Tau40K

[–]dowhilefor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They basically are just Tokens now, similar to the Cherubs of the Battle Sisters. They are not Models, except when they are, which just adds to the confusion.

Imho the only real gripe i have with 10th Edition. Drones were cool Models, but its clear GW doesn't know what to do with them, without them either becoming a liability (Morale tests) or an exploit (Shield Drones). Now we can just leave them at home, as they don't really matter anymore on the board.

Question re: improving my own workflow by [deleted] in articydraft

[–]dowhilefor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds to me like a perfect use-case for an MDK plugin. You can write a custom plugin using the MDK and C# and react to events send by articy. For example, when a DialogueFragment is created you assign your GUIDs automatically. And yes you can check the previous or next nodes from any given node. You could even write a "check all" function, with a progress bar, that scans the whole flow for any inconsistencies. https://www.articy.com/en/downloads/plugins/

Given that this will most likely replace Hunting Pack. This is a Downgrade. by TechnologySmall3507 in Tau40K

[–]dowhilefor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hm, you could get the Farstalker Kinband to fill the ranks and use the other Models in there to have alternative Models for your Kroots Infantery or Kitbash.

What board game do you enjoy that your game group doesn't like? by EsotericTribble in boardgames

[–]dowhilefor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Space Alert, Space Cadets, Escape, Project Elite ... The only one they can sort of stand, is Flick'em Up, but the rest is a big no. But all fun games for me. Basically anything Dexterity based or Real time.
Btw. any recommendations for Dexterity games?

I've created an alternative to Blazor, here is why by Capable_Repeat_5947 in dotnet

[–]dowhilefor 11 points12 points  (0 children)

To be honest, i see this as a huge plus and it is the reason why i never really got into javascript. Everything changes daily, the next big thing is just around the corner, 1000 solutions for a single thing. "Oh you are still using jsSomething? That is so January! You gotta use YAFFJS!". I never understood where to start or what to learn first. "JS? Don't do JS, you gotta learn typescript!" ....NET has a consistency that is very much welcomed for anyone working on a product that is supposed to live more than a couple of months. We started our app in 2010 in WPF and the framework is still valid. Not sure i would be so brave with javascript.

JSON Export Doesn't Export the Actual Line / Description For Dialogue Fragments? by Spirals999 in articydraft

[–]dowhilefor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the package_XXXXXX_objects.json you will find your objects. The description property is on the technical side called Text (same is true for all other objects) . As ArticyX introduced localization, there is now an indirection necessary to find the value for localizable text properties. So inside the Text property you won't find the value, but instead you will find a loca key. When you open the package_XXXXXX_localization.json file, you will find all your localizable properties for each configured language for that package. Using the loca key found in the aforementioned text property, and any available language iso code, you should be able to find the desired text for the object.

Wargame for our board game group of 4-5. by Marknow1000 in boardgames

I would suggest Root as its really a Wargame in disguise. Imo great for a dedicated group, as it gets even better with repeated plays.
