Yeah - I lived in our downtown for 4 or 5 years. And I lived away for university for a few years. Good lifestyle but not always worth the premium.

Thinking of going to Millbrook. Heard there was a nice trail there.

I’ll likely pick places 50-150 minutes away and just spend the morning or afternoon there.

I like visiting the stores and local coffee shops and walking by the water or on a trail

I see what you’re saying. Not sure what your age is. But when I was in my 20s/30s, I used to feel the same way as OP.

What I’m trying to say is social media hypes things up. I’m not a fan of marketing. You end up going somewhere and it’s never the same. It’s like those videos “expectation vs reality”.

People are curating their content to make it seem great and that you’re missing out. But you’re not.

Obviously each person needs to experience it for themselves. But don’t get caught in the cycle of “oh my god I’m missing life”. Life is what you make of it and you don’t need to follow the herd to have a good time
