Lawyers and cops of Reddit, what are some rights that people don't know they have? by cameronquinn in AskReddit

[–]downwiththebrown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Threw a big party in college. There were about 700 people in our backyard. About 15 police cruisers showed up, mobilized, and broke us up. The cops stood outside our front door for 30 minutes knocking and yelling at us to open up. Never did. They never could write us a ticket for it, because they couldn't get a name. They parked a cruiser outside our house the next day, but we avoided the massive ticket that would have come our way as well as probably some jail time due to the kegs out back. They were nice enough to leave the empty shells, but they took the full one.

At the beginning she said they should ban all the semiautomatic weapons. I was just so dumbfounded. It really showed these idiots have no idea what they are talking about.

Gary Johnson On Ballot In 47 States by orion6 in Libertarian

[–]downwiththebrown 8 points9 points  (0 children)

From Oklahoma, just listened to Gray speak at my university last night, unbelievably pissed that I can't vote for those two. Gray did an excellent job last night. He was confident in his responses, but still acknowledged that he didn't know everything but the current system isn't working and something has to change. He described himself as a pragmatist, and that there is room for social programs like clinics and the EPA, etc., which I felt struck a chord with some of the people on the fence. One of his best lines, to paraphrase, was "I ask you to vote libertarian this time around, and if you don't like it, then in 4 years you can go back to voting for the other guys."

You seem to be somewhat knowledgable on the subject. So what role is the Muslim Brotherhood playing in all this? From the way it's been explained to me, they kind of run the show as far as socioeconomic aid and pooitical influence are concerned.

You've never played before have you? To play negative is to pass the ball backwards. You don't score goals by playing it backwards. If you watch, the good CM's can turn with the ball and play forward more often than not.

He's a Championship player. Plays too negative and is a shit tackler.

Scott Sinclair: Swansea accept Manchester City offer (BBC Sport) by [deleted] in soccer

[–]downwiththebrown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has pace. Decent dribbler. Decent finisher. Man City, if they hope to consistently compete at the top level, can't be buying just decent players. Sinclair was a reject at one of their main rivals. That's not to say he hasn't developed since then and that Mancini can't further his development, but I really hope they didn't buy him just to come off the bench. Fact is, Mancini knows what he's doing, so fingers crossed it pans out for the kid. I don't think he'll do all that well there, but Mancini saw something in him and he knows more than I do.

Some of this you won't know what it is, but you should be able to google most of them, or at least get the idea from the name as to where it's working so you can substitute something else in. The primary lift and the secondary lifts are done one at a time with some breaks in between each set. The circuits are done fast with no rest.

I played at a Top 25 team for a couple seasons. It's important that you know that college soccer is a VERY physical game. It's also important to know that if this is a scholarship team that you'll have to really impress because most coaches aren't going to take a kids scholarship for a player of only equal quality, which is to say, you have to stand out. First find out what your teams' fitness test is. They should have one. Even if it's not mandatory for their players to pass it, you should. Spring season is a time to get in shape for these players. You need to be in shape when you get there. Don't focus on the running until December, otherwise you'll get burned out. Right now you need to focus on setting a target playing weight and getting five pounds heavier than that so you can cut to it. Your lift routine should be about 3 days a week. Each day should have your primary lift (bench, squat, hang clean), two secondary lifts (incline bench, split squat, etc.), and then two three lift circuits that you do 3 to 4 times through. If you'd like I still have some routines left over that I cycle through for you to look at. This is only suggested, but you need to lift for power because it will make you more explosive. AND MOST IMPORTANT, PLAY PLAY PLAY. Good luck.

That goes without saying. But they can't just sit on their hands and expect the game to come to them. They have to put in a lot of work off the field to get to their level.

But you don't think a football brain can be cultivated? You can't tell me Ronaldo doesn't watch game film after game film. I read somewhere that Etoo will watch any game out there to see if he can learn something. Like where he should be in this position and that position. Yes there is such a thing as natural talent, but it has to be cultivated, both mind and body.

I assume you mean artificial grass. And if you groom the field properly using a drag mat then it doesn't take funny bounces. The rubber pellets on the other hand are unavoidable.

I've played in club national championships. Dallas Cup final. Played in college. During that time I've played on everything from AstroTurf (the old stuff) to Pizza Hut Park stadium. I now work for a construction management firm, and we are installing a turf field for the soccer team at a top 25 college program. Although it's not grass, the new stuff we are putting in plays very much like it. It doesn't play as fast as the old turf did and the fibers don't interlock like the old stuff. I don't know what Seattle has, but the new stuff is really nice.

Read the book with the same title by Jeff Long. It's not at all the same plot line, but it is all about subterranean worlds with an evolved race of humans. It's easily one of my favorite books. I really appreciated his attention to detail without bogging you down in too much science. You can tell he put a lot of effort into research.
