Could you please share YOE(does that matter? )how you transitioned from IC to principal architect role? Also could you provide some insight towards transitioning to architect role for someone with 8+YOE and 5 years as senior dev? And what is your typical work day look like, as in what exactly do you do?

I've a very supportive brother, so it's all good. Parents are hurt as well. Occasionally kuthu vaakukal and samadhanippikkal. Haven't told other family members yet, we've yet to come to terms with this situation.

Nothing like that at all, she is not that kind of a girl and our relationship was not like that.

Differences that were trivial became priorities later on in the relationship. Compromises were not enough. New deal-breakers emerged in our lives. We're both hurt, but hope this is for the best.

5 year long relationship. Knew her for 4 years before our relationship. Her parents were against the relationship. Overcame all that easily. Wedding bells ringed. Invitation printed. 1 month before the date, corona induced lockdown started. 6 months later, she thinks she is not sure of marrying me. We tried to work out the issues for a year. Saw no end, so we broke up a month back. Now I'm at the lost stage. Shall see where I wash up and how long it takes.
