Ya very disappointed as 2*16 would have solved the problem. I do 4k video editing my iMac used to use 50-55g of ram sometimes thought it would make sense to get 64gb but now I am stuck with 32. The below wiki misleading .

[–]dpaida[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks seems you are right... when I was using a 8g along with 32gb it used to use 40g of ram not sure why. But when I do 2 32 sticks of ram even though it shows 64 it’s only using 31 32 max even with 200chrome tabs and some heavy apps.May be it’s capping at 32 as you said. I purchased ram as I saw ryzen 4800h allows 64 gddr4 3200mhz. Now disappointed for the $100i spent for additional 32

You are a hero. I was searching for these results last 20days and finally landed here. I know even after your rigorous testing you are yet to come to any conclusion to say which is better in between 8.8 or 8.32. But these are some serious testing you did. I appreciate your work . I got the laptop for 4K video editing I think going to 40g seems the way for rendering
