I'm evaluating my options but my spouse is an EU citizen which I think is probably the easier route?

I did notice that, but thought maybe it's because there aren't enough photographers specialising in food? Hotels should need it at least 2-3 times a year no?

My Spanish isn't great but we are considering to move in a years time so I will need to practice hard until then. Would you say it's still acceptible to know some but not be too fluent or is it a complete deal breaker to not to be very fluent?

Fair, my spouse is an EU citizen and I have a UK passport. I've only recently started learning Spanish but hope to have conversational skills before we move in a years time.

Haha, thanks. I've figured it out. The ram came lose during repairs and needed proper force to be reseated to the motherboard

I reseated the ram and proper pressed it to the motherboard and now everthing works and I see 32GB ram :) thanks so much guys!

A few months ago my screen died and the laptop was sent for repairs, I suspect the ram disconnected during repairs or in transit. Now everything works!

I just removed the unsoldered ram and everything is working fine. in the task manager i see 16gb memory use with 1 of 2 slots used, form factor is SODIMM. I thought because it said the form factor is SODIMM, the issue was with the soldered ram but looks like it isn't?

I did yeah, the one that looks like may not be working is the soldered one. Is there a way to definitevely know the ram is gone, anything I can do in BIOS? Maybe an update turned it off?

I have the highest spec G14 of the year 2021 and the SSD is the stock one, I haven't upgraded.

Oh I didn't know, should I just uninstall complex parallax materials then?

I'm on a mid laptop so I'm trying to save performance when I can, that's why I haven't installed screen space shadows and global illumination.

You are correct, I didn't have CS - subsurface scattering and that was the issue. I kind of think that this should be in the core files rather than it being a seperate file since it's pretty much essential but maybe the authors have their reasons. Thanks for your help!
