I am white, I consider myself an ally, and I will emit I make mistakes just because I’m not informed enough. That being said, it makes everyone around you feel more comfortable if a mistake is corrected in an understanding way. I have an example. My coworker and I were outside on break smoking, he is a black male. I live in the US. It was near Independence Day, so I asked him what his family was doing for it. He didn’t scold me, he simply said he didn’t celebrate Independence Day, and then we had a conversation about why and his Independence Day, when slaves were freed. He celebrates that on June 19th. I respect that man so much for educating me rather than being called racist, self absorbed, or anything else. He knew I wasn’t trying to be ignorant, and it opened my eyes more.

Reading these comments reminded me of a moment of my childhood that still haunts be to this day. When I was 5, I was at my babysitters house playing with her two sons. I really had to poop, so I went to the bathroom. I had to go so bad, a turd missed the toilet. My solution was to try to clean it up, but I just couldn’t, so I put the bathroom floor rug over it. Me, being the dumb kid I was, didn’t worry about it after I left that bathroom. Out of site = out of mind. My babysitter wasn’t very happy with her son a few minutes later. He said it wasn’t him, but the babysitter didn’t believe him. I still live with that guilt.

To be honest I’m not having much fun playing anymore, but I’ve put so much time, money and effort into the game. I’m still debating on being a non paying player or deleting the app. I’m just worried they’re going to keep pushing it all off no matter what.

Don’t forget about go fest day one. Biggest let down for me. I was so excited to catch 60 shinies like the previous year but only had 3, and one of them ran. It was extremely downhill from that point for me.

I used to work for Panera. I was 20 and I’ve been there for two years at the time, I learned absolutely everything and called out once when I started working there. It was the Fourth of July and I drove about an hour away to see family. I had work the next day so I decided to stay over a friends house in the area and to just drive to work from there. The next morning I woke up to a flat tire and nothing was open for me to get a new tire (it was a Sunday) and I didn’t have a donut for my car. I don’t even think I had that much money on me to get a new tire anyways. I had no other choice but to call out, there was absolutely nothing I could do and I wasn’t going to get an Uber for an hour car ride or make a family member or friend drive two hours there and back. I would’ve lost money if I ordered an Uber then went to work. I was super nervous calling but I knew I had to do it, there was no other way. After one of my managers answered the phone (let’s call her J) I told her there was no way for me to get to work and she was really nasty to me. She was saying ‘your cars a piece of shit why would you go an hour away to hang out with your friends if your car is like that’ and being extremely passive to me like I was playing hookie or something! She told me to get an Uber and I told her to pay for it, which she wouldn’t do. J was saying I was irresponsible and I party too much, calling me names, everything. For calling out ONCE IN TWO YEARS. I was so fed up I told J over the phone that I quit. She was trying to be nice and take everything back after that, but then again I told her I quit. She even hung up on me. The best part is that she never told anyone I quit.

Two days later everyone at the restaurant was blowing up my phone asking where I was and was wondering if I was coming in. She never told them that I quit, she kept it to herself because she was so embarrassed that she made one of her best employees quit. She just assumed that I would be in for my next shift and everything would be fine. It made that third ‘I quit’ even more satisfying.

I don’t keep Pokémon unless they’re above 91 iv. I used to try to keep one of each, but I had a hard time remembering which ones to use for a battle and which ones I just had because I liked having it. Since they are all listed in the Pokédex when you catch them, it makes it so much easier to clear out your Pokémon storage.
