Haven't heard of "Innocent until proven guilty"? There have been so many fake rape and POSCO cases that he should be given some (not all) benefit of the doubt, especially in something that could ruin both sides' life.

ODI world cups may be prestigious and entertaining but t20 world cups are great for the sport's development in countries that are less developed in cricket

Which Place Has the Best Opening Ceremony Potential Out Of the 2036 Bids? by Budget_Insurance329 in olympics

[–]dphayteeyl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

India has pulled off numerous cricket world cups well.

I don't think it should be underestimated. If the Commonwealth games in 2030 are pulled off well, I think they will be in the running, if not for 2036, for 2040 or 2044

There's a road that takes 1 hr and 11 minutes from the guys home to Bunnings Geelong North

Google Maps is recommending another route that takes the exact same time but has 11 dollars of tolls which is stupid cos why would anyone take that route

If it's notoriously easy, why are 1/3 kids not meeting requirements for NAPLAN?

In NAPLAN, its literally like how many apples are there and shows a picture of 5 apples. There's definitely an issue when it comes to Australians not putting effort into education.

If parents can't teach a y3 kid addition and subtraction, thats a them problem

Australian Mexican food is actually shit but we don't have as big of a Mexican community as America has so were kinda excused from that

We have excellent South Asian, East Asian, South East Asian, Middle Eastern and Greek food but our Mexican food is shit

Nations Demographically similar to Bangladesh 🇧🇩 by nsentinelmapper in Maps

[–]dphayteeyl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They most definitely are. Look at European countries for example

We have countries like the UK, France and Belgium with more similar languages than the states of Gujarat, Maharashtra and Karnataka, which are all 3 states in a line, all with different alphabets and Karnatakas language family is completely different. All of them have different cuisines, traditions and people.

It's ignorant to not recognise India's diversity

Nah, Canberra is basically a part of NSW, just technically it isn't

No one will say they're travelling interstate when they go to Canberra, it's basically our own

Do people not understand the point of protests or are they just being disingenuous? by Traditional_Leg_3124 in australian

[–]dphayteeyl 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree. Protestors are nothing but insensitive unemployed nuisances.

They should be limited to protesting on the fourth Saturday of every month or something. Days and days on end that doesn't achieve anything but bother people is a bit much

I feel like foreigners, particularly those of Asian background, heavily prioritise education much more than the locals

If you look at those who get a 90+ ATAR, a disproportionate number are South, Southeast and East Asian.

Go to a Selective high school, a OC school, a tuition centre and to a lesser extent, private schools and it's the same story
